Is Shamu's "preferred" parking really better?

Do you still have to get on a tram to ride up to the front gate or is it close enough to just use your stroller...

If you've used it before...was it worth it?
and do I have the right info ? it cost 7 for regular parking and 4 additional for "preferred"?

And are locker/stroller prices the same as the Disney parks too?

Thanks,
X:confused:

I think these spaces are the closest in the park. They ought to be since you are paying $10! :) I don't think there is tram service for about the first 30 or so rows of parking.

As for strollers, they cost the same as other parks, including Disney.

I have used the Shamu "preferred parking" every time I've visited.

With all the other costs of the vacation, a couple of extra dollars seems like a pretty good investment. Especially when you can walk out of the park and get right in the car.

Personally, I'd try to save $4 on the trip somewhere else. But the tram service is not bad if you'd just as soon forego the premium parking.

When we were there this past Sunday, it definitely would not have been worth it. The park was not that crowded, and you could easily walk from the parking. You might ask the parking attendant how crowded the parking lot is. What's more, even if you have the preferred parking, you have to wait in the same line of cars, so it doesn't really save you that much time.

i was just there Tues and Wed and we did Samu parking. We were directed into a different line, right beside the general parking, but we keep driving past all the other cars and I would say it saved us a lot of time just coming in. When you first get a parking spot it's why did I pay this money, but believe me when you come out after a full day of walking, just having to walk a few steps to your car it is worth the couple extra dollars it cost. The cost was 10.00. If you have a silver pass the cost is only 5.00

We got there early, while the park was opening, and got a "regular" spot right next to the $10 white lined spots....
