Is seperate still best?

Hi,
I haven't posted in a while... but I have a question I am really curious about. My DH and I are certified Disney freaks. Sadly, we haven't been able to visit the World since Sept. 2002. :sad2: At that time, they didn't have all of the new packages, etc. that they have now. I am helping a close friend plan a trip in October (the next best thing to planning a trip of our own), and they haven't been in 14 years!! ANYWAY...When we planned our trip in '02, it was better to book hotel and tickets seperately. Is that still the case? On a side note, do the "meal perks" make a substantial difference in packages vs. booking seperately?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Allison

With booking seperately you may get a discount on the room thru either a FLA/AP/AAA rate, but you will not have the option for having the MYW+Dining.

The Dining plan this year is pretty good. For $35 for an adult and $10 for a kid per day you get one sit down meal, 1 counter service meal and one snack.
