Is scream early worth it in this scenario?

I'm attending HHN on 9/28. This is my first HHN event and my only opportunity to do it this year; I am considering the RIP tour to maximize what I can experience. I won't have park tickets, so am considering buying the scream early ticket to get in some rides before the HHN events. Does this sound like a solid plan? Thanks!

If you are buying the RIP, then entering during scream early and doing a few rides is definitely an option. If no RIP and you want to get in all the houses, I'd definitely get in line in one of the scream early areas so you can knock out a few houses before they open up the event.

RIP Tour defiantly!! Loved it last year. Did the tour from 5:30pm till 11:30pm (all houses and both shows) and then went on rides. RRR is amazing in the dark. Simpson's made me sick lol. We rode the Mummy over and over again. Still got back to the resort by 1:30. Feet were dead, but an amazing night!!!

It gets you in 2hrs early - $16/hr is not bad for a few hrs in Universal. I imagine you'll get a lot done on a Wed in those few hours in Studios. Especially if you opt not to do the RIP tour - you won't have to be waiting in the "HHN gate horde." The RIP tour would also bypass that situation even without the Scream Early.

RIP should allow you to do everything open in the park during HHN. The scream early ticket is “worth it” if you think $35 is a fair price for 2 hours to do the things that won’t be open during HHN (Minions, Jimmy Fallon ride, ET, Ollivander’s wand experience, character interactions, shows).

That sounds like a great night!
