Is Sci-Fi really worth using one TS credit?

Me, DH and DS have dinner ressies for Sci-Fi. But is it really worth it? I read that the food is "okay" and I don't know how fun or interesting it would be to sit in a restaurant and watch old movies.

We also have ressies for Prime Time which seems like it could be a kick for my son who is 9. I'm thinking maybe just go to Sci-Fi for a quick snack and save my TS credit for somewhere else.

Your thoughts?

My son and used the dining there last April. He was 13 during that trip. We really enjoyed it and didn't feel like we wasted our credit.

We both had burgers, fries, and shakes. I think may have had salad as well.

The food was great. It was a nice place to sit back an relax away from the crowds and heat.

Definitely - we love this place, just for the atmosphere. The food is ok - stick to stuff like burgers and you will be fine. I will definitely be using a credit for it on our next trip. Have fun.

Agreed. The atmosphere's unique, the food's pretty good and it's nice and air conditioned...great if you're there in the middle of the summer as me and my dear fiancee have done the last couple of years.

My server doubled up my bacon cheeseburger into 1 pounder without asking me, had I known ahead of time my daughter would have split with me and we could have saved a credit. Burger was so big I had to take one patty out just avoid hurting my jaw.

And I am sure happier that I used Credits instead of CASH, Just cant see spending $165 on lunch at a burger joint. Sons Ribs were good and wife had some shrimp pasta, but it is still a burger joint.

This was my boys favorite meal of our entire week long trip! They loved sitting in the drivers seat and watching the old movies. We went for dinner and it was a great end to our day. The food was great! Everyone raved about the onion rings so I had to try them..they were yummy! The boys got the glow in the dark ice cubes in their iced tea too, so that made it even better! It was a well used table service credit for us.

:scared: WHAT???? $165 for burgers???

I had a pasta dish with shrimp that was really good. It was a neat place to eat while watching the corny sci fi trailers :)

We loved Sci-Fi! The food is pretty normal fair - burgers, fries, chili, onion rings and shakes but the atmosphere is unlike anything we have experienced. I'm glad we went and will probably visit again in the future!! :earsgirl:

This was my DS (16) favorite restaurant. We did this for lunch, meal was good, atmosphere great!

This is a great spot for lunch and paying OOP. The hamburgers I've gotten have been some of the best ever. We split an order of onion rings.

This is perfect in the middle of the day to come in from the bright sunshine to a cool and rather quiet place. My DD's 8 and 6 have always been mesmerized by the clips. Considering that the drive in theatre is a thing of the past, I'm alway glad to take them. :flower:

Maybe we are in the minority, but my family didn't care for the food at all and the service was even worse. The atmosphere and the milkshakes are great, but I would pass on using a TS here and save it for somewhere else.

Did you have burgers? My first time there I made the mistake and had something else (turkey sandwich maybe) and then I went on to eat half my DH's burger while my sandwich was just plain yucky. :flower:

Dh and I were there in Nov for the first time. We loved it. The food was good and the atmosphere was great. We plan on bringing our dd's, 11 and 13, there in August.

We ate dinner there and we all hated our food. When I thought we could have used that TS credit at Le Cellier I wanted to cry. So go at lunch time, get a burger, and pay out of pocket ... save that credit for something deserved!

I agree. The burger's are huge and I wouldn't use a TS credit here. Go for lunch for a nice break and order the burgers. :flower:

I've been wondering this as well, and though we still want to eat there, I'm thinking of paying out of pocket for this one, and using that TS for another meal!

Hey, I noticed that on their dinner menu on allears.net, there is no burger listed. Do they not serve burgers during dinner?

JMO, but Sci-Fi is definitely not worth a TS credit. Our family only stops there for a snack, not a meal.

Burgers are not on the dinner menu, but you can order one. I've done it several times.
