Is saving a few $$ worth it NOT to have a car?

I strongly prefer driving to the buses. Some people have wonderful luck with the buses but all the waiting and standing in line, standing on the bus, sitting on the bus and feeling guilty about the people standing, just missing the bus, etcetera, is just too stressful and a waste of time. Also, what if you need something they don't sell at your resort. Once at DxL. my compact shattered. They don't carry make up, and the CM told me to go to Goodings. I would have had to take a taxi to buy powder - no thanks. Other times I've needed medications, foods and other things that one can only get offsite. I do think it's good to take the bus to MK, though.
