We'll be in Orlando 1st 2 weeks of Dec.
We would like to eat at The Rainforest cafe, Tony's, Liberty tree tavern, and Teppanyaki, but we don't want to be held to a certain day/time.
Being as its a slow time at Disney, will we be able to get a table easily enough ?

If you really want to eat at those places, I would make a PS. You can change the PS's the day of, if you need to. You can arrive early & hope to be seated early. I haven't been there in Dec, but I think you wouldn't much problem last minute at the places you listed. Have a great a vacation!

I've been twice the first week in December and I didn't think it was that slow either time. I remember one night we couldn't get into any World Showcase restaurants except Nine Dragons which was horrible. So if you have your heart set on eating at a certain place I would make the PS. Maybe make a few at the same places for different nights and just cancel the ones you don't use.

YES, YES, YES! MOST Cast Members use thier Holiday Discount Tickets during the first two weeks in December! That is why so many of the resturants are packed during these times!

Tonys will be busy as Crystal Palace is shut so you should defintely think about a PS there especially if it is character.

Alex you should think about making PS it won't hurt to and then you've got the back up. I know what you mean about being held to something but I found that by having a lunch time PS it made me a take a break otherwise I would have gone on and on and been even more tired by the end of the day.

If you change your mind once in the park - just pop by the restaurant and cancel your original PS.

Teppanyaki, RFC and LTT are also very popular whatever time of year so I would make PS.

I guess what I'm saying is make a PS to be on the safe side.

If there is someplace you absolutely want to eat I would make a PS. It takes the risk out of it.

I would make a ps if it's somewhere you have your heart set on eating. We were there last Dec. 8-12; and I didn't find the parks to be that crowded. We ate at LTT, Garden Grill, Sci-Fi, and RF all without ps. BUT we weren't dead set on eating at any of those places. We just lucked into the seatings, I guess. If we hadn't gotten them, we would have been just as happy to eat somewhere else. If these are places you really want to eat, make a ps and you won't be disappointed.:D

If the CM's get their holiday discount the first two weeks of December, does that make the parks really crowded, or is the discount only for shopping for the CM's?

Shopping and Extra Park Entry. The dining is good most of the year, but since the family is all together, most dine out too.
