Is priority seating a must??

I know it is probably to late to even try this but do you think I should make priority seating now if anything is left???? I have not yet b/c we did not want to commit ourselves to where we were eating b/c really we are not sure what nights we want to eat where........... is it necessary?? Should I try and arrange some??? What is the num?? wdw dine?

It never hurts to have a few priority seatings, especially if plan on a character breakfast such as Cinderella's table.

If you don't have any luck with them before you go, continue to call or even just showing up at the time you want to eat will get you a table. It's really just hit or miss with priority seatings.

last yr we went the 3rd week in May. Since most schools didn't get out around here until the following week(and then, or later in other parts of the countryaccording to people here on the DIS) we thought we wouldn't have problems make PS's last minute from home. Oh boy was I wrong. I did get PS's but not the ones I really wanted (such at Crystal Palace, it was booked solid for all 3 meals on both of our MK days). However I continued to call once we arrived, and finally ogt a breakfast PS for our last day. The others I wanted to change I didn't bother with, I just adjusted our plans accordingly.

I always make a PS reguardless of the time of year we go...........kinda of like insurance. Besides it is fun to plan the day around our favorite eateries

We always make PS reservations as an insurance. If we decide not to go I just call and cancel. It is eaiser to do this than to try to get into the restaurant at the last minute. I would go ahead and try to make them now. I called on Friday and was surprised that I could change a few of our PS reservations for the first week in June. They were for 50's Prime Time and Garden Grill and I thought it would be to late to try and switch them, but I got it with no problem.

We just returned and tried over and over to get a PS for Chef Mickeys breakfast and were told every day that they were booked solid. On the last day we said lets just go down and see what happens and within 15 minutes we were eating.

ohhhh cool!!!

Well the places we want to eat are pretty simple places.

Not anything like the palace ....we do not have any kids

I know we might have to make them for house of blues

we also want to eat at planet hollywood, San angel inn, and we were thinking about either nine dragons or fultons

Oh and of course we will go to the big grille and brewery for the quesadillas!!!

Deah - I just this week tried to call for House of Blues PS and was surprised to find that they only make them for parties of 6 or more on Sunday - Thursday. We are a party of 5 for Friday night. We are just going to show up around 6:30 and hope for the best.
