Is Premium Package Worth it?

Has anyone else booked with the Premium Dining Package?

My gorgeous fiancee and I are going there for our Honeymoon, July 27th-August 3rd. Staying at Port Orleans Riverside, and are considering the Premium Package. We have been to Disney the past 3 years and this time we want it to be really magical! We want to do the bass fishing, the parasailing, La Nubia, we want to eat at all the nicest restaurants, and all that fun stuff.

Just wondering if it really is that great of a deal, or is there other ways to go about doing it?

Hope to hear from you soon.

I enjoy food and eating too much to do the premium. When I go to a restaurant, I want to be hungry, and with that many ts meals, I would end up being full before I even ate! I hate when I eat too many appetizers to enjoy my meal, and wouldn't be happy to arrive at a meal I was really looking forward to, and not being able to enjoy it. And trust me - I can eat!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

When DH & I went to WDW for our 2-year anniversary waaayyy back in 1993 we got the package that included three meals a day. I will never do that again. It was WAY too much food. We felt like we were always eating - it seemed like we were in restaurants more than the parks! I think we even ended up skipping some meals at the end of the trip because we just couldn't eat anymore.

I would if you're wanting to eat the signature restaurants. Some people feel like it's to much food because they think you have to eat 3 TS meals a day, but since you said you wanted to eat the signature restaurants you can have a nice breakfast and then use 2 TS credits in the evening at a signature.

My parents did the Deluxe Dining when they were there this fall.

I tried to talk them out of it several times, but they thought it would be a good idea. When they returned, they agreed that it would have been better to do the regular dining plan. They were traveling with my two sisters (mid-20s) and my 2 year old niece. They just felt that it took too much time (often over 2 hours for each meal) and that their plans revolved around their reservations. They made ADRs for 2 meals per day and didn't use all the meals on their cards.

This is why we don't really like to do any TS meals. We have three young children and like to be flexible. If we want to go to another park or take a longer nap we don't want to feel tied to our meals.

I think for an adults only trip--like a honeymoon-- the dining plan would be nice. But personally I would only want to do one TS meal per day.

I'd love to do the Premium Plan!

I'd have to review the specifics - not sure how everything is credited - but I think I'd want to stay at a Deluxe Resort so I could take advantage of room service and have easier access to all the water activities.

I've done Deluxe a couple times and love it - I agree you do spend a lot of time in restaurants, so it has to make sense for your travel party and touring style.

My thoughts exactly! Especially for a honeymoon. :lovestruc

Yeah you actually have unlimited sit downs. When I talked to the agent on the phone I was informed I could eat at Cinderella's Royal Table for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner everyday if I wanted too. This just seems like the best way to go since we can eat wherever we want and not worry about it. Also, the parasailing, bass fishing, water ski's, and la nubia tickets included. So worth it!
