Is Picnic in the Park available using Dining Plan Credits?

Might be interested in this for my family for our trip. We have the regular dining plan.

Anyone know if it is available using credits? I read on some posts that they did away with it, but then on another that they emailed WDW and the response is that it is still available right now.

Just not sure if I can use credits on it...And, if so, how many (ie, 2 for a meal for 2 and 3 for a meal for 3)??

Also, does anyone know if you can order extra side dishes with one of the meals?

As far as I know, you can still order Picnic in the Park with dining plan CS credits, one CS credit per the "for X" of the package, so 2 CS credits for a "for 2" package, 3 CS credits for a "for 3", etc.

As always, you should (in theory) be limited to ordering only for the maximum size of your DDP party at a time, so a party of 3 couldn't order a "for 4" package using dining credits.

I don't know enough about Picnic in the Park to know if adding additional sides ala carte is allowed at all, or how they would interact with dining plan credits.

Picnic in the Park as a pre-ordered option with chicken has been discontinued. It is available with sandwiches, desserts and drinks as a grab and go option in AK. No hot/cold sides either (apparently they have chips available, maybe some other packaged snacks). This is what WDW means when they say Picnic in the Park is still available.
