Is Osama really dead?

My parents told me they don't think he is actually dead. My parents are NOT those conspiracy theory type of people, yet they think this is some kind of conspiracy. I never thought of that. So this thread isn't really about do you think it's true or not, it's about what if it ISN'T true? What does it mean for us and other countries if it was some kind of hoax thing. I'm not saying I think it is or isn't because I really have no idea...I'm just wondering what would it mean for us if this was some kind of conspiracy?
Sorry I'm not sure if I was spelling his last name right so I just went with his first name instead.

I think he is dead. Apparently they did multiple DNA tests to prove it.

Why would they pretend that he is dead? They should have done it years ago if that's what they wanted to do and if he is still alive, what is to keep him from popping up again someday? It can't even be political since it's not close to election time yet.

I see no sense in this being a hoax.

I do not want to look at a photo of a dead person. Whoever it is..just being dead means I don't want to look at their photo.
However some people see that as positive proof.
But, I don't know why...photos can be faked too.

Really, I don't know what to think. I am not a conspiracy theory type of person either but I really don't think you can always trust the government. I mean the gov is made up of politicians and nothing against politicians but they are not usually known for honesty So who knows.

IF the US was found to be perpetrating a massive hoax, not only would it spark outrage amongst our enemies AND allies, it would cause a massive loss of faith in the gov't by the American people and the rest of the world.

There is NOTHING to be gained from lying about his death...only serious, grave losses if it were found to be untrue.

Anyone who thinks it's a conspiracy and Bin Laden is alive...well...we'll just leave that alone.
