Is one type of Droid less trouble later on down the line?

My grandson is going to build a Droid in June. Is one type more sturdy than the other? The B models look more fragile to me!

I can't speak to sturdiness of the B but one factor isThe B series you have to open up each time you want to turn it on. Whereas the R2 just has a switch on the bottom.

So if your grandson will likely use it a lot from that standpoint the R2 is a perhaps a better option.

My daughter built the BB series, they’re really cool but harder to control and the head loves to pop off. I love my R2 unit
