Is one DVC location better than the other?

I am considering purchasing the DVC--we took the tour in 2003 and I have regretted not buying into it ever since, but kids starting college, job changes, you know all the reasons why not to. But I would like to know now where to start--where is the best place to get info on resales, various benefits of one location over another etc.

Asking which DVC resort is the best is like asking what the best flavor of ice cream is. Everyone has their own opinions.

There are a lot of threads on this board that provide various opinions on the pros and cons of the various resorts. You may want to look through them.

I happen to prefer AKV, VWL, BWV, and BCV. They all offer various things that fit my own style of vacation.

Perhaps if you were to provide some deatils about you: which are your favorite parks, what do you usually do on your vacations, etc., then some comments may be tailored to you.

Yes, one DVC location is better than another. But which one depends on your individual needs and preferences.

I prefer chocolate, except when I have strawberry, but only if I do not also have vanilla and chocolate with my strawberry. (Sorry I could not resist).

I do like your answer though. There are so many variables and we each have different preferences and different priorities for theme, location, resort size, villa design, cost and the like.

Depends how you define "location". For us that means "A place where something is or could be located; a site". And that is as close to one or more of the WDW parks as possible to not need to wait for a bus. BCV/BWV for EPCOT/MGM and VWL/CRV for MK.
