Thinking about doing this character breakfast any opinions would be great??? We will have a 1 and 4 year old with us--- do they have french toast or pancakes for them, they are not very fond of eggs??

Ohana's breakfast is not a buffet. It is a character meal served family style. We really enjoy the laid back atmosphere. They have Mickey waffles, I don't remember any pancakes. The food was good. The beautiful view of the castle really sets the mood for a wonderful day!

Our favorite breakfast too. We like that it is not a buffet style, especially with kids this is a plus. Really good Mickey waffles and plenty of other stuff not just eggs. We are not fans of eggs at WDW (or outside of WDW in FL) has anyone else noticed the eggs taste different there?

I'lm glad to hear this. We scheduled this for a character breakfast. We have only been to Chef Mickeys before.

We LOVED breakfast at 'Ohana. The Mickey Waffles were a big hit for both of my DS's. Our oldest got a kick out of being in the little parade with characters around the restaurant. Makes for some great pictures and very full bellies.

This is our favorite breakfast too!

The food is delicious (and you can ask for more of whatever you want): Hawaiian pineapple bread, Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, bacon, sausage, and biscuits.

The characters are great (Mickey, Goofy, Chip, and Dale) and their outfits are themed with the restaurant. The also have a parade every half hour or so, where the kids get to march around the restaurant. Lots of fun!

This my husbands favorite meal, we love the family style food service and the waffles--- they bring more of what ever item you like..... Now I am hungry!!!!

It's quite underrated, as most people on the monorail route hit 1900 Park Fare and Chef Mickey's. It's easy to get a PS too.

I was really excited to try O'hanas our last trip...and I'm glad so many people gave you good reviews....but for us...we'll never go again.

This was end of April 2005...we arrived almost 20mins early for our PS @10:30 and weren't seated til 11!!!!!!!!!! The lobby was packed w/ people...no room to accomodate all those waiting. When we finally were allowed in I was amazed, the restaurant had so many empty tables!!! Sure didn't notice a ton of people exiting all at once. Maybe they were short staffed that day and just couldn't use all the tables??? I don't know.

We never even knew there WAS a view of the castle from where we were seated. They brought us over a wonderfully yummy pinapple sweet bread...and that turned out to be the only thing my 5 yr old would eat! And he LOVES bacon, eggs and waffles! But on this day, the bacon was REALLY well done (charred comes to mind). He only ate the 1 slice. The waitress was kind enough to bring us another plate of the pinapple bread but refused to bring any more saying each table was only allowed 1.

The char interaction was the poorest of all the char meals we've tried over the years (CP is our favorite and CM a close 2nd!!!) We saw chip & dale but Mickey and Pluto never made it to our area and we were there for an hour!

The final straw for us was that breakfast suddenly went right through all of us!!!! Perhaps ds knew what he spoke of when he only ate 1 strip of bacon!!! DH doesn't eat eggs at all and I passed on the waffles so it had to be the bacon which was the only thing we all ate.

Anyway, for us it was disappointing on many levels, crowds, noise & food, not to mention poor char interaction. We said we'd never go there again.

We like this, but had the same delay problems last trip. Early for our PS. Waited 45 minutes past our PS time to get seated. People who arrived after us got seated before us. Characters went off shift halfway through our meal and the CMs were surly.

We are trying it again - first seating - this year however as I really dislike buffets.

(Our food, however, was good).

AWESOME Breakfast! We tried it the first time this year and would definitly go back!

Thank you all for your replies-- I guess we'll keep the PS now that I know they have mickey waffles!!!!
(but we will definitely watch out for charred bacon!)

Hmmm....we wanted to stop here and eat breakfast before our flight to DL. I guess we're gonna have to watch the reviews until we get closer then.

We had the same thing happen in May 2005. Our PS was for 10:00, we waited thirty minutes to get seated. We sat there for 15 minutes looking at the table we eventually were seated in, it was empty but had not been bussed(sp?). To make matters worse the service was terrible. But, I would go back because the food is wonderful and we had the best character interaction there than anywhere.
