Is Ohana that bad for breakfast?!?

We love 'Ohana's breakfast. I especially like that it isn't a buffet where snotty nosed kids are touching the serving utensils and sneezing on the pineapple bread. The food has always been hot when it gets to our table, and they'll bring you more of your favorites. DD practically overdoses on the juice they serve every time - she would go there for the juice even without her favorite character (Stitch).
This itself is the biggest perk of all for germaphobes. I feel better knowing that the serving spoon and food itself wasn't sneezed on by several guests before me (hopefully the servers at ohana know better!) :)

Ohana's is my favorite place for breakfast. The food was okay and the character interaction was awesome. If your daughter likes LILO and stitch that much definitely do it!!!

For us, we did find breakfast to be overpriced for what you get. Ohana breakfast pricing is on par with other character breakfasts that are buffets except Ohana is not a buffet. While it is served family style and it's all you can eat, there's not a great selection of foods. For the price, you get a variety of breads which we honestly didn't care for (not to our taste), the same scrambled eggs, bacon, and Mickey waffles you'd find all over WDW, and sausage that was also not to our taste. I personally would rather spend the money on a buffet with more of a variety of foods. But I do understand the appeal of Lilo & Stitch.

Our most recent visit to Ohana breakfast was in August of 2014, and our experience was good! Our reservation was for 8:00am, but we got there earlier and were seated within a few minutes. Our server was awesome, and instead of just bringing some cupcakes over for the kids and my husband's birthday, she sang happy birthday and made a big deal of it. She was probably one of the best servers we've ever had anywhere on Disney property. The food was decent...the sausages and Mickey waffles were the standout. You can get as much as you'd like, so if you like one thing and hate another, ask for more of what you like and leave what you don't like :-) The character interaction was good (except for Mickey, who was pretty terrible, but that's not typical character behavior) and there WAS a photopass photographer there with Stitch (but only Stitch), although I know this is not frequently the case.

If Lilo and Stitch are important to your family, it's not a bad choice. My recommendation would be to choose an early time.
Good luck with your decision, and have a great trip!

DH and I love 'Ohana for breakfast!! We've always had great service and food. I'm a huge Stitch fan, so that's a plus!

I don't usually eat sausage (not my thing), but theirs is excellent, as are the potatoes. We also love the pineapple bread. And you can get Stitch waffles!! Can't wait to eat there again in October!

THANK YOU!! to all for the opinions and advice so far!! It seems to be about 50/50 on the boards too..lol
I usually wouldn't put so much weight onto an ADR decision but we are only staying for the day with no parks this trip so it will be our only TS meal and character interaction. Being limited to resort character meals-Cape May, Park Fare, and Ohana are the options. Lilo and Stitch are my DD's favorite and she is really not that into Alice or Mary Poppins. I did finally come across a Park Fare Cinderella dinner ADR so now we have a decision to make....AHHH!!

If Lilo and Stitch are her favorite, then i would pick Ohana for sure. If you are not doing a park, go later when it is a little less crowded. Last time we went, we went about 10:30 and called it brunch.

Ohana was our favorite breakfast and we booked it for all our upcoming trips. It was delicious! And I love Stitch too. 1900 Park Fare for dinner wasn't very good. The stepsisters are funny but the food wasn't worth it.

We have an 11:15 am ADR which would work as brunch for us but I was a little concerned about the later ADR. Breakfast ADR's are made up until noon so we will not be the last ones arriving but I hope that the food is still fresh as well as the characters when breakfast starts around 7!!

I hated the food. Those mass scrambled eggs are horrible IMO. The potatoes were undercooked, the sausage was nasty-tasting and everything--including our waitress's attitude--was cold.

The characters weren't bad, and the little guests there seemed to have fun. I was so turned off, I don't think I will ever book a family style breakfast at Disney again.

A few years ago we were the last ones in the door for breakfast. The CMs made sure we saw all the characters, and the did come by pretty early in our meal. Then we just enjoyed our food. It was still fresh.

If you are there 45 minutes before the end of the breakfast seating, you should have no problem.

We had a great breakfast experience in May 2015. We had a later ADR for more of a "brunch" experience and the food was hot, good and A LOT of it!

I'm not impressed with the food, for the price, I wish it was a full buffet. But my daughter loves Stitch, so it's become a tradition for the 2 of us to do bfast there once a trip. It kills me to pay that price for such little variety, but it's an important tradition for her, so we do a little mommy/daughter time while the other 3 do something else or sleep in.

We were there in July and it was fine for us. Temperature was good. Service was fine. Nothing spectacular, but a solid bacon, eggs, potatoes, waffles meal. The characters really were great, though- really fun interactions for us. We did go at 10 am, though, so it may be that it was less crowded and therefore better service.

@TheRustyScupper just as an update- we DID have a photopass photographer at our breakfast for pictures with Stitch. This was not the case a couple years ago, but I thought I remembered hearing this replaced the photographer outside? At any rate, there was one in July taking pictures with Stitch.

We thought it was OK... Which was disappointing compared to the dinner (which we love). The character interaction is good, but you can get the same or better food at cheaper buffets like The Wave (no characters of course). All the food was so-so.

The bad reviews are so surprising to me! We've done breakfast at least 10 times and have had a great experience every time. However, I don't like mass quantity produced eggs anywhere ever, so I automatically remove those from my review of the experience - I never eat them. I would definitely give it a chance.
