Is Nine Dragons a good choice?

We tried this one for the first time in August and loved it. DD9 &DD5 (very picky eaters) requested it again 2 days later when given the choice of anyplace in Epcot to eat for lunch. When we came home they wanted Chinese food, tried one bite of the fried rice and commented "it's not nearly as good as the fried rice at 9 Dragons."

It's definitely not like the local chinese takeout, much fresher much more flavorful. We'll definitely be going back there

If you have a good Chinese rest near you, don't even consider this place. The food is really good, but there are a lot better choices.

So what's going on with Nine Dragons being that it's going to be closed for all of 2008?? That's a MAJOR renovation.

I was wondering the same thing. What the heck are they going to do to that place ?

Now I have to fit it in one of our itineraries somehow. We loved this restaurant, and we DO have plenty of great Chinese restaurants around - not to mention a Chinese family member who also happens to be a great cook.

We had one ADR-less night on a previous trip (what a mistake that was), and Nine Dragons was the only place that could accommodate us out of the WS restaurants. We had never eaten there before because we didn't think it was special, but were tremendously grateful to be seated for a meal. I thought the food was great, in line with what you would pay for a meal at a nicer, sit-down Chinese restaurant in our city.

We would probably not go back because there are too many other restaurants that we enjoy more, or would rather try, but we will always have fond memories of our meal there. :thumbsup2

:wizard: We ate there in August and it was really wasn't that good...we found the food very salty. The hot and sour soup was raved about by those on the boards who liked this restaurant, and we thought it was just okay. We had the honey-sesame chicken and kung boa chicken and were disappointed. I think there are a lot of better choices throughout WDW that are much better.
