Is new BOG worth 2 dining credits?

I think you will find that most if not all will say no. From what I have seen the TS dining credit has a "value" of ~$41 to make it worthwhile. So that would put this at $82 worth

From a strictly dollar and cents perspective there are better out there. If on the DDP it's better than the DxDP/ Max value will be about $80 with tax if you max out your Wine choice. Compare that to say CG on the high end. You're looking at a max of $130 on the DDP and $150 on the DxDP. That said the value you place on eating there may in itself make it worth it to you.

do you think we're better off paying out of pocket?

If you have better options for those credits, sure. Look at some of the 2 credit menus and see if any of them appeal to you. If there are things on the menu you think you'd order that add up to more than what you'd spend at BOG absolutely pay out of pocket.

The BOG value is $27.50 per credit. If you will have other TS meals that have a value higher than that then yes pay out of pocket. If not then use the credits. Personally I would book 2 other meals and get 2 more entrees desserts and drinks :p

I was pleasantly surprised by the menu. It’s a great restaurant to visit and the meal looks very good now. I wouldn't hesitate to use 2 credits. I’m going back in November and am looking very forward to it.

You’ve had the new prix fixe menu?

I say no, but then again I've never been a big fan of BOG. Also the DDP is no longer worth it for me, I don't drink alcohol being the big factor.

Nope. Not worth it. It will be popular for roughly another year as everyone will have to give it a shot but then the availability will sky rocket as most people realize what a waste of TS credits this is just like Le Cellier.

I would not use two credits there. At $55 per person I think it s a terrible credit value. I hate to use two credits on CP dinner package too, so I make sure our value is close before "spending" my credits on one.

it depends on what you are hoping to get out of the experience....we went twice for dinner before it was two dining credits and we thought the food was really good [not outstanding or the best we ever had but really good]. It is quite pricey [about $55 per person or 2 dining credits if I recall correctly] The castle is pretty and it is a unique experience. The Beast was in the library for photos at the end. Also, he walked through the restaurant about every 25 minutes or so while we were eating. He did not stop and chat...he kind of charged through in beast fashion...lol! There is no other way to do a meet and great with him unless you see him at the Mickey Not So Scary Halloween party or Mickeys very Merry Christmas party and he will likely have a long line. For me personally, if I was only going to do one special castle dining experience, Id pick Cinderellas Royal Table over BOG. However, to me with er of those {CRT or BOG} is just a one time experience . When we go back to BOG it will jut be for lunch and / or breakfast

If you mean should you use your DDP when you eat here?
NO.
The price is very reasonable,
so you can't get the value from the DDP.
Save your credits for two other meals.

Comparison -
BOG (2 credits) gives you a TS credit value of $27.50
Chef Mickey (1 credit) gives you a TS credit value of $55.00
California Grill (2 credits) gives you a potential TS credit value of $50.00

Now I haven't done the math but something to consider is ... if you have kids on child DDP .... do the math to see if it's worth using their credits for this vs where else you are eating. You can always pay out of pocket for them elsewhere if those meals are coming in less than $18 each.

From a value point, 2 TS credits for a $55 meal - not a good use of points. I would pay out of pocket for that and add a TS credit to another signature restaurant.

I think the others have it. Even with wine/beer included, it is poor value per credit (most 2TS meals are, but the only 2TS value worse than BOG is room-service pizza). It all depends on whether you have better options to use those credit, or just wont be able to use them all. If you're not going to use the credits for anything else, use them at BOG, or just mentally disassociate the DDP price from the credits and use them to eat where you want when you want and be happy.
