Have an ADR there in August and was just wondering? My daughters and I usually wear sundresses for dinner and I wanted to know if this is dressy enough? Thanks;)

Hope that you get some replies as we are going to eat there on Dec 22.

My two boys wore shorts and polo shirts and I wore capris and a nice shirt before heading to MVMCP last November. We did not feel out of place. It was an awesome meal. Have fun!!!!

Yes, that's fine. I wore a sundress and my DH wore khakis and a polo shirt. We were about middle-of-the-road, there were some people more dressed up and some who were more casual.

In my opinion, there are no "dressy" restaurants at WDW with the exception of Victoria & Albert's. In sundresses at Narcoosees you will likely be more dressed up than most of the other guests.

You will be more then fine in a sun dress. I wore nice shorts and t shirt and my son wore a polo and shorts, my daughter wore a denim skirt and t shirt. There people there who were dressed more casually then us and some that were just slightly more dressed up. Nobody was super dressed up though. We will be there again this Aug!!!:cool1:

We have eaten at Narcoossee's quite a few times. I always wear a polo / golf shirt and khaki shorts. I have never felt under dressed.

From the Narcoossee's page on the WDW site:
Dress Code Guidelines:
Men: Khakis, slacks, jeans, dress shorts, collared shirts. Sport coats are optional.
Ladies: Capris, skirts, dresses, jeans, dress shorts.

Not permitted in dining room: Tank tops, swimwear, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing. While T-shirts are now allowed, the policy remains that T-shirts with offensive language or graphics are not acceptable.

I wore a shorter skirt, summer top, husband, nicer shorts and nice shirt...2 sons, collared golf shirts and khaki shorts!

I agree with the fact that "although" there supposedly is a "dress code" at the signature restaurants, I've seen folks at California Grille that in my opinion looked like they just got out of a pool.....Certainly not appropriate to my tastes, but to each their own....Guess Disney just cares that they can produce the "green stuff" and pay the bill......Everything is SO CASUAL AT WDW! THATS PART OF THE REASON I LOVE IT SO MUCH! NO PRESSURE TO BRING ANY "FANCY CLOTHES"..NEVER BEEN TO VICORIA AND ALBERTS..HAVE BEEN TO YACHTSMAN, NARCOOSEES, AND CALIFORNIA GRILLE AND EVERYONE WAS VERY CASUAL!

ENJOY! YOU'LL LOVE NARCOOSEES!!!! ON MY "MUST DO" LIST FOR THIS AUGUST! CAN'T WAIT! SUCH A GREAT SETTING; BEAUTIFUL!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

@TDC Nala - Now that's something you don't see every day: a Landru reference on a Disney World forum. Very cool, indeed!

Narcoosee's is a regular stop for us and we see people dressed from shorts and tshirts to dresses and sport coats.

I usually wear a sundress or shorter skirt and my hubby has never eaten there in slacks. Always polo shirt and khacki shorts or something like that.

One thing we love about the signature dining is the fact that you can go in a sundress or shorts and have a first class meal! i could never do a tshirt or something like that though, but that is just me. We took my aunt and uncle in May and my aunt had on a nice t shirt and some capris and she was fine.

Oh and the food is WONDERFUL!
Have fun!

I've heard of dressing in layers, but hats off to you for wearing your husband and 2 sons as well! :rotfl2:

TDC Nala is right--in dresses you'll likely be more dressed up than the majority of guests.
In August I suspect most folks will be in shorts.
