Is MyPoints in trouble?

On the GPTBoycott page it has a header that says MyPoints may be going bankrupt. Does anyone have any info on this? Is anyone else cashing out? I am close to a reward I want but I would rather cash out for less than lose it all. Any suggestions?

Hey Jody!

I have no information on this, but I did cash out for 3 separate rewards on three separate days and they are "still pending"...that was about 3 weeks ago when I cashed out for the first one...My Points is usually very good about rewards and I have never had a problem with CS, so I am not too worried (yet)

I'm still waiting for a $25 WebCert I cashed out for about 2 weeks ago. As Beanie said, I haven't had any problems with MyPoints (yet!), so I'm not too concerned at this point. We'll wait and see what happens!

I really would hate to see MyPoints go under. It is the most reliable of all the programs I have done so far and I am THIS close to getting a RFC GC. I hope United can withstand the bankruptcy and keep this site open. Or in the alternative, a reliable company takes over the site.

I cashed in on 12/8 for a $25 webbie. The redemption page show that it has been "shipped". Usually that means that I'll get my webbie within the next 2 weeks. However, it has said "shipped" for two weeks now and I still don't have my webbie. I'm not worrying yet but I'd sure like to see it and my points for an FTD purchase from 12/18 as well!

Mypoints is owned by the major airline that just went into to chapter 11 last month (cant remember the airline name, United?) Some are speculating that this relationship to the airline will put them out of business. Time will tell.

This is just what I was hoping I WOULD not hear. I love MyPoints and have done very well with themover the last 2 years. I hope they don;t go under, more important, I hope everyone gets their stuff!! I have 555 points in confimation status and as soon as they clear (if they clear) I am checking out. Let's hope our loyalty is rewarded!

Well I'm getting real annoyed with them now. DH cashed out beginning of December for $10 WC. A week later it said shipped. WC knows nothing about it. Mypoints said sorry they were delayed and he would get it in 5-7 days. A week later Mypoints was e-mailed again and he got the SAME e-mail about sorry 5-7 days. Now they won't even answer the e-mails and as of 12/29 WC says they still haven't heard from Mypoints.

I guess I'll be calling them Monday.

Now you have me worried about my RF GC. I cashed out on Dec. 13. On Dec. 26 it said it was shipped (and my points were subtracted from my account). I haven't seen anything yet, but it's only been a week. But if I don't have it by next Friday, it does me no good.

I am hoping, hoping, hoping it is in the mail tomorrow! Which would be 3 weeks since I cashed out, and about how long most people said it would take.

Of course I also cashed in my MySurvey points on the 19th, and still no check from them. I know, holiday mail and all that, but "the" holiday is over now.

Oh boy...you guys are starting to get me worried too...I do hope they follow through with redemptions *if* anything is happening with their company...I will lose my $45 in GC if they don't honor them...

I'm beginning to wonder a bit myself. A couple of months ago I cashed in for a RFC gc and received it in less than 2 weeks. I cashed in for another RFC gc sometime around the 10th of December and the status was "shipped" on the 15th of Dec. I'm still waiting to receive it.

I cashed out several weeks ago for two $25 Olive Garden GC and points are still listed as "Pending". I hope this one can survive since I do 95% of my online shopping through them.

I cashed out when the news came out that they filed for bankruptcy. I think many, many people did, so that's probably why they're delayed. I have NEVER had any problems at mypoints with getting gift certificates or points or anything, so I am hopeful they will stay afloat. I'm waiting for $90 worth of gift cards.
My account says they are pending shipping in mid-January, so hopefully they will come.
Just as an FYI - there is an epack at Tupperware for $4.99 *without* a $40 purchase. I think it's at page 2 of the under $10 section. I was able to do it from the Tupperware link which says Once and got 800 points! Woohoo!! You have to be careful which tupperware link you use because I tried a different one and it indicated it was expired. I have gotten so many points from the Tupperware deals, so I am surprised I was able to do it again.

I notice many of you report that you check your status of rewards earned (gc;s) through my points and even get an idea when they will ship. Could you please tell me how to do that

I do it by going to "Account Statement", looking at monthly statement, then going to that month that I ordered the gift card, and it shows the date you debited your account and the date it's expected to ship (in parenthesis). I hope this helps.

I have to admit, I was rather shocked to go into MyPoints today and see that I had already been credited with 600 points from an FTD purchase I made on 29 Dec! That put me over the top for a $25 Webcert, which I ordered immediately!

I've NEVER been credited that quickly for shopping points before...

Even back in 2001, it was taking a month - I only remember because we bought a Dell computer through MyPoints on August 11 2001, and I was waiting for September 11 so that I could cash in...

Anyway, we'll see how long it takes for them to ship the Webcert to me...
