Is more than one P&P Party Overkill?

It's possible (if they announce May dates!) that there could be two opportunities for the P&P Party during our visit.

Is two of these overkill? Expensive...but its' sounding like there are no lines...lots of fun...maybe worth it?

My DD5 (Princess lover) wants to be a pirate...but if we go to two she could be a princess for one, pirate for the other.

What do you think? :confused3

On my trip last March I decided to go to two P&PPs. I had originally only planned to go to one but I didn't get everything done during the first and I wanted to go back and do the things like the dance parties and characters. If you go to two parties you can kind of seperate your plans. Like for example the first party you can focus on rides and the parade and the fireworks and then the second party come back for the treasure spots and characters and maybe more rides. That's what I ended up doing. I think the no lines and fireworks, as well as not feeling pressured to fit all the party festivities in one night are worth the second party admission, especially if you can afford it. Personally I definitely don't think it's overkill. On my upcoming trip so far I'm only going to one, but who knows I might end up going to a second one.

The reason we won't go to P&PP is that we can't squeeze two parties into one visit...... so go for it!!!!!!

If the previously published May dates are eventually released (fingers crossed) we will only be able to attend one party. :guilty:

We have done two MNSSHP before in the same trip. As DisneyGirlie has said, it allows you to do all of the party events, but in a not so rushed manner. ;)

I hope not we were there on Jan 21. Great time. My older daughters beach plans fell through so I'm going back tomorrow with her. pirate:

We did two (2) P&P parties in August and I'm glad we did for a few reasons:

1. The first P&P party started late due to a freak lightning/thunderstorm.
2. The Captain Jack Sparrow Meet & Greet the first night was okay but...Captain Jack was present in body but not in personality...
3. The fireworks were delayed due the storm but once we saw them, we kept yelling, AGAIN, AGAIN!!!!
4. Candy! Lots of Candy! Staked out spots for candy for the second party.
5. Rode Splash Mtn, BTMRR, Space Mountain & Pirates of the Caribbean ALL in the space of 40 minutes.
6. Went to the second P&P party which had perfect weather and we got to do everything we missed plus some.
7. Met Jack Sparrow a second time and he was there in body and personality! Told me to leave the kids on shore and come back to his cabin. ;-)

Seriously, the P&P is worth doing twice IMO. The ticket price isn't bad at all and the crowds aren't anywhere near what MVMCP are. :thumbsup2

Thank you all SO MUCH!

I really think (if they do extend the dates as I'm really hoping) that I will go ahead and get us tickets for both. The second party takes place the night before we leave, and I can't imagine a better way to say "see you later" to the MK.

I REALLY appreciate the feedback. (Now to start setting aside the extra $$!!)

:cool1:

I'm sorry we didn't do P&P 2 nights when we were there in August. It rained and stormed, the parade was late, the fireworks were late and we hardly got any decent character pics or had time to do everything. My DH suggested we go a second night earlier in the week, but I said "no, that's ok" Boy was that not the smartest thing I've ever done! However, I am taking my BFF this August for the sole purpose of 2 P&P nights! P&P is done in March and then resumes in August, though I haven't been able to get MS to tell me the exact dates yet. Go 2 nights! It's only 5 hours and if you want to ride and spend time with characters, plus the treasure hunt and see the parade and fireworks...well....maybe if it didn't end until 3am! pirate:

Yep we did two partied last feb/march one on a weekend night we had bought tickets before we left, then decided at the last minute we we wanted to go to Mk one more day b/c dd 2.5 didn't get to see mickey (she fell asleep waiting in line and was so so sad about it at our Epcot day and we could find him there either...) so we looked at ticket prices and decided it was less to go to the PPP for one night 4pm-12am then the MK full ticket price from 9am-7pm... so second PPP here we came! We had a blast going twice and probably would again if 2 fell durring out travle dates but they dont'! LOL
