Is MK going to be super-crowded on May 21? (Spectro & Fireworks that night)

Wow, lots of us were there on the 13th - which isn’t a surprise since it seemed like the whole world was there! I don’t think I’ve ever seen the MK more crowded, and I’ve been there Christmas week! I was trying to get across the park near Spectro time and it was nearly impossible. I only went that night because it was my only chance to see Spectro and FitS. And it was worth it, but yikes! People (including me) were hanging around the park well after closing so they didn’t have to deal with the mass exodus. Clover, I would think that Friday would be better than a Spectro/FitS day if you can do it. However, based on the things you plan to do (especially skipping the mountains) you shouldn’t have much of a problem if you start early and use Fastpass. If you go on Wednesday, my advice would be to get the heck out of there well before Spectro begins.
