Is Mission Space Still a Walk-On?

The last several years I've pretty much just walked on as a single rider on the Orange side. Is this still the case with the refurb changes? We'll have a part of 11 in Nov and I want to know if I should have us burn a FP+.

Idk about a walk on. Anytime I've glanced at the wait time for the past year or so it's usually a steady 20-30 min wait.

But with so few tier 2's at epcot, you might as well FP it if you want to ride. For tier 2's at Epcot I'd put Mission Space at the top followed by Spaceship Earth

We were there last week and it seemed to consistently be in the ~20 minute wait time range. As a PP said, there are so few good FPs at Epcot that we usually use one of our tier 2s for Mission Space. You can definitely get on without too much pain, though, if you don't have a FP.

I'm not sure how you ever got a walk-on for Orange. I've always been able to walk on to Green while my son either uses a FP or has a much longer wait for Orange. I walk right up to the podium for Green while looking at a bunch of folks in queue for Orange.

Just luck I guess and this is during Food&Wine. Wifey get's nauseous so after we do SE, TT and Soarin' I'll do MS and the last several times at least I'd get to where they take your Orange card back before being stalled at all. This would be 10:30 or so on a non EMH day.

I was there a few days ago (non-EMH and not during F&W) and ended up at Mission Space around 10:30ish. Green was a walkon (ugh - once and done for me! Just rode it to check out the new video. The old video was better, even on the green side). Orange showed a 15 min wait. Not sure if there was actually a wait.

Was just at Epcot this morning (1st day F&W, EMH morning) at around 10:30 it was posted 20 for Green, 30 for orange - both sides were walk-ons at exactly the same length!

Pretty much same exact experience we found last Sunday morning. Maybe 11:00 or so. And there had been rain, so TT was down (it came up right as we walked off MS)
Showed waits for both sides, we used a FP for Orange, there was no wait at all for either side without FP, everyone walked right on to the ride and in to the "sorting room". There weren't even enough riders on the Orange (Mars?) side to fill our room.
As a side note, I do wish Disney would tweak how they are posting wait times. They were off badly all 5 days of our trip. Not a little here or there but badly for each and every ride. Either our timing was lucky every single ride or they are doing a really bad job at tracking timing right now. I'd go with we got lucky sometimes but not every single ride

Today around 6 we walked on on the green side, and there was a ten minute wait posted on orange the side .

I rode the new Earth green version today around 3pm,green had a 10 minute posted wait and orange had a 15 minute posted wait.My wait was pretty much a walk on as was the orange side.

So only the green side has changes? And is the new version any good?
Both sides changed missions
Sorta.
Green is now called Earth and is totally new mission, new everything.
Orange is now called Mars and really is the same as it was just with new graphics. I really can't say that I'd call it a new mission since what you do and where you go and what happen along the way is exactly the same.

Green is all new, orange is the same but looks different with better graphics, someone posted a video on YouTube of the differences side by side.

Back in August, We saw Mission Space spike to as high as 45 mins. But usually it was much shorter, 10-20 min posted wait times.

Best part of the new version, for us, was that my 4 year old who could not ride in May, could now ride with a booster seat. She was excited and that made it worth it for us.

I do single rider for any and all attractions that provide it. Always the faster way to go. Love it!

Mission Space doesn't have a single rider line.

It's only Rockin Rollercoaster, Expedition Everest, and Test Track. However RnR single rider line is notorious for being super slow. Sometimes taking just as long as the regular standby line. So I'd heed that single rider line with caution
