Is the rumore for a rehab on Men In Black true? If so, does anybody know the time frame? We are coming the May 24 & 25 and my husband would be upset if the ride is closed!!

Hmmm...I hadn't heard MIB was being refurbed...where did you hear this?

go to MIB pointers thread - go to last page. Someone was just there in 2012 and heard a possible rumor of a possible rehab.

Gotcha...since there's nothing on the website, we can only wait and see what happens. Universal won't post anything this far in advance so keep checking back.

Thank you - I figured someone would maybe know something about it eventually. We love this ride as a family and especially my husband - he doesn't get motion sickness!!

I hope not. I am hoping since Jaws is gone and the refurb going on there that they won't refurb much else until it is finished. I guess if it is a safety issue, then they will refurb no matter what.

Personally, Universal closing any ride right now (at least until Despicable Me opens) is a really bad move on their part. The biggest complaint I've been hearing recently is how people were upset at how so many rides (Jimmy Neutron, Jaws, Spiderman at the time) were closed down yet they were still paying the same price. All I know is that refurbishing a ride while there are already 2 others down is not really smart considering Universal only has 7 rides (Shrek, Mummy, Disaster, MIB, Simpsons, ET, RRR)

Add Terminator and Twister in there too. Although not rides, they are major attractions.

I agree that closing down MIB before the fall downtime would be silly.

I'd be willing to even go so far as saying closing it down before HHN ends would be silly.
