Is MGM on the monorail system?

I know this may be a dumb question but I am unsure of the answer. How easy is it to get to MGM from the Contemporary? We will be having breakfast at Chef Mickey's at 8:15 am on NYE morning. We are leaning towards spending NYE at MGM. I have been told you need to get your handstamped to be able to re-enter the park if it reaches capacity during your absence. We were thinking we would go to MGM first thing (I hear the parks open early on this day??) and then heading over to Chef Mickey's by using the monorail. Is this possible? If not, how to you suggest we get to the Contemp from MGM?

you go to the bus stop at the contemp and get on the bus marked MGM/Disney studios.
The monorail only goes to Epcot and MK.
When leaving any park at any time you need to get your hand stamped for reentry.
To get to the contemp from MGM, go to the bus stops, look for the one marked "contemporary", take that bus.

Beware,

I was at Epcot NYE 2000.

By mid afternoon, Epcot had reached capacity and they were warning people that a hand stamp would not necessarily guarantee re-entry to Epcot. We were told that if we went out, we would not necessarily be allowed back in.

I suspect MGM will not be so crowded as Epcot, so you might have no problem, But I would *DEFINITELY* double check with the CMs at the gate before you exit,

Since your breakfast is early I don't think there would be a problem if you went right to breakfast. Get there a little early and they may seat you right away. Even if the parks reach capacity it wopuldn't be until later on.

Could you possibly have breakfast ay Chef Mickeys another day? If yiu have breakfast at MGM or your hotel, you wouldn't have to go back and forth.
