The confusion comes because "Memory Maker" is a specific product that is purchased and is not, technically, what you get with Annual Passes. With the AP, you get something very similar, only better. Disney does not refer to the AP version as "Memory Maker".
With MM, you have 30 days from the day the first picture is taken, to take all the photos you want. Each of those photos are available for download for 45 days after the photo was taken. After that, they are no longer available.
With the AP, you have a full year to have pictures taken (valid for the entire life of the AP) and each picture is available for download for 365 days after it was taken.
