Wait! CDs are coming back? YES!!! Now I won't feel like such an outcast anymore.

Physical media in general. But yeah CD are now becoming cool and retro it seem.

I prefer the convenience of digital. Hard to beat having 100+gig of music on a raspberry Pi and being able to stream it from anywhere.

But I collect vinal as the covers are very cool (especially 45s) and I have a record player to test them.

That's great news! I'm firmly planted in the "own your media" camp. I got stuff on CDs that isn't available on streaming. And the stuff that is available, just because it's there today doesn't mean it will be there tomorrow. Spotify can remove content anytime they like, but they can't come into my house and take my CDs back.

Not to get too far off topic, but its worth checking out Plex if you are good with tech stuff. (there are others that are free, but Plex is very user friendly)
That way you have your physical copy stored away and easy access to a digital backup to play through Plex.
Can add music and photos as well - as long as you have enough storage.

Then with something like Plex amp and a raspberryPi you can stream you CDs as well.

You can even set it up so you can connect from anywhere in the world - just be sure to have a firewall and know what you are doing..
