Is Liberty Tree better than Garden Grill?

Yeah I guess my overall concern is getting a good value for my TS credit. When you compare places like Le Cellier, 'Ohanas, Kona and others it seems like a waste to go to The Plaza or other low end TS restaurants.

Some the MK restaurants have been around a LONG time and we should probably try one just to say we have eaten there.

I have not been to either place, but based on some reviews here on the Dis, I'm very excited to try LTT for lunch. Dinner at either place does not interest me. Especially GG, there are too many great places in Epcot to eat. :)

Our server was excellent, and all of us enjoyed the meal, from the big bowl of salad at the beginning to the various desserts at the end.

Various desserts?? I thought only one dessert came with the LTT dinner ... apple crisp. Sure hope you're right; as more is better!

Now you're comparing apples to oranges. I think the issue with LTT was the fact that they had characters. Any time you add characters, the quality seems to suffer. It's almost as if Disney figures that people are there primarily for character interaction and they can 'make do' with mediocre food. I find that to be true at almost every character meal.
I hope that now that LTT has done away with characters at dinner, the food quality will improve. The three or four times I ate dinner here, when the characters were present, there was a Stouffers feel and taste to the food. I finally gave up on it. But, I can't imagine that the turkey at lunch is going to be different from the turkey at dinner. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that the dinner offerings are all lumped together, rather than just a 'turkey dinner' like I had for lunch. Don't know.

But I wouldn't start waiting for all the restaurants to have the same offerings at LeCellier. You are aware that as of March, LeC is going to be 2 TS credits for dinner??? And I'm one of those, as is the rest of my family, that just is 'over' 'Ohana. The last few times I've been there I have been rushed through dinner....took forever to get our drink orders, then as soon as the drinks were brought the appetizer/salad course was there. Then, about 5 mins later, they came along with the meat skewers, followed by the veggies...there was little to no room on our table...very uncomfortable. Then, no drink refills were offered, we had to grab a server walking by..not ours. Then our bill came out, and they started clearing the table...we were in the process of eating still!! They asked if we needed anything else, took our bill and never saw them again. The time from being seated to getting our drinks ordered was almost the same as the time from drinks/appetizers were delivered to bill and table clearing. And the meat was dry and overcooked, and very salty!!

I really am finding it to be harder and harder to find really good food within the Disney parks, and even at some resorts now. And that's too bad. You shouldn't have to shell out $150 for a good meal for two adults....no alcohol included.

We had a food allergy in the group, and I think they accomodated with a fruit cup...and someone else in the group had ice cream...

We have learned to quit trying to get "The Best Value" and just enjoy the meals we want. We stopped trying to eat everything and just to eat to enjoy. We might be entitled to 3 desserts but if we are full, it does not make our trip better to eat them all just to get our money worth. It took a few trips for us to figure this out so take it for what it is worth.

Good point...I really want to try Sci-Fi but I felt like it was a waste of a TS credit. I think my boys would love the cars and movie. Maybe I should consider the ambiance vs. value.

I hope LTT's, dinner food has made a total turnaround, since the characters left. I'd need to read several reviews to that fact, before I'd believe it though. We used to eat there on party nights to get pics with the characters. As an added bonus, that was usually the only time we'd get a snack during the trip. We were always too full, after eating at the other restaurants. (We usually do all TS.) Getting full at LTT was never a problem. ;) To me, the food was a step below Cracker Barrel. Close to cafeteria style dining, but some cafeterias are better. We've only eaten at GG once many years ago, but I'd choose that over LTT dinner, w/no characters any day. At least, there's characters & a fun atmosphere. The food wasn't LTT bad then either.

We love Sci-fi for lunch. We don't use DDP though, so value has never been a deciding factor for us. I think your boys would love it. Their burgers & onion rings are awesome!
