Yeah I guess my overall concern is getting a good value for my TS credit. When you compare places like Le Cellier, 'Ohanas, Kona and others it seems like a waste to go to The Plaza or other low end TS restaurants.
Some the MK restaurants have been around a LONG time and we should probably try one just to say we have eaten there.
Now you're comparing apples to oranges. I think the issue with LTT was the fact that they had characters. Any time you add characters, the quality seems to suffer. It's almost as if Disney figures that people are there primarily for character interaction and they can 'make do' with mediocre food. I find that to be true at almost every character meal.
I hope that now that LTT has done away with characters at dinner, the food quality will improve. The three or four times I ate dinner here, when the characters were present, there was a Stouffers feel and taste to the food. I finally gave up on it. But, I can't imagine that the turkey at lunch is going to be different from the turkey at dinner. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that the dinner offerings are all lumped together, rather than just a 'turkey dinner' like I had for lunch. Don't know.
But I wouldn't start waiting for all the restaurants to have the same offerings at LeCellier. You are aware that as of March, LeC is going to be 2 TS credits for dinner??? And I'm one of those, as is the rest of my family, that just is 'over' 'Ohana. The last few times I've been there I have been rushed through dinner....took forever to get our drink orders, then as soon as the drinks were brought the appetizer/salad course was there. Then, about 5 mins later, they came along with the meat skewers, followed by the veggies...there was little to no room on our table...very uncomfortable. Then, no drink refills were offered, we had to grab a server walking by..not ours. Then our bill came out, and they started clearing the table...we were in the process of eating still!! They asked if we needed anything else, took our bill and never saw them again. The time from being seated to getting our drinks ordered was almost the same as the time from drinks/appetizers were delivered to bill and table clearing. And the meat was dry and overcooked, and very salty!!
I really am finding it to be harder and harder to find really good food within the Disney parks, and even at some resorts now. And that's too bad. You shouldn't have to shell out $150 for a good meal for two adults....no alcohol included.
