Is LegoLand too busy in the Summer?

I went yest. 7/17 - and while busy, I found the morning wonderful! Now through the end of the July they are opening the gates at 9 and some rides at 9:30 - this isn't widely advertised. I got there at 9:30 and rode 2 major rides by 10 (Sky Coaster and Coastersaurus)! We had done all my son wanted to do and more by 3 and were on our way home. We rode the Lost Kingdom Adventure at about 9:30 with a 10 minute wait - we walked by later at about 2 and the line was well (very well) over and an hour - way to long for this ride - so its hard to say. It went well riding early and then doing the build experiences and shows. Either way, if you go, have fun!

I find it similiar to DL waitwise except for two things. No FP, it makes you appreciate FP so much more when in DL. That and the rides aren't as great so the wait for something less is more dissapointing.

Keep in mind that it is really a kids park and I'm sure DS liked it much more than me.

For the first time going to LL, and hearing it is a kids park, that is so true. The soak and sail which is loads of fun in the pirate area, parents wait. LL has signs up Parents wait and Kids play...is so true.

Even at DL, for the kids rides...I think Disney still allows the parents to be apart of the attraction whereas LL doesn't. So many parents sitting on the sidelines and since I am paying for the tickets, I want to be doing something other than sitting on the sidelines. I think the parents price is wayover priced. Some rides were more enjoyable than others at LL and I kept wishing I was DL.

So true! After visiting LL for the first time, I realized I paid almost as much as DL only to wait in lines and wait for my kids. There was nothing interesting at all for the adults. Not even background music!

To answer the OP's question, Yes it gets crowded at LL during the summer. We were there last month.

Not crowded like DL but crowded enough where the queues for most rides averaged 30 minutes by 11am.
