Is Kroger Delivery still available for Disney World resorts? (...with all the closures)

The last date you can get Kroger delivery in the Orlando area is through 1/31/26. They apparently are closing the Groveland distribution center, which is who delivered to the area. It's too bad, they were by far the cheapest and best service in the area.
And with that, Florida is once again a Kroger free state ALTOGETHER…

My daughter works at the Groveland Fulfillment Center in Groveland. They had a mandatory zoom meeting this morning well they were all informed that they would all be losing their jobs as the Fulfillment Center would be permanently closing. No warning for any of them before this mornings zoom meeting.

Sorry that you daughter is impacted but is she not still employed until late January 2026 since that would cover a very large notice period.

Were they just not building market share or was it part of the Kroger restructuring that started back in August?

We're very disappointed to learn that Kroger will no longer be delivering in the Disney area. Their prices were good, variety good, and their delivery charge could be as little as $3. Looks like our January trip will be our last with Kroger delivery.
(They are also ceasing delivery in Oklahoma City.)

I work there too, and in my opinion some heads need to roll over how this whole announcement was handled. A random email and app notification at about 12:30 yesterday, without even upper management receiving forewarning. My supervisor was of the opinion that someone hacked into the system to send out the notifications. Upper management apparently contacted corporate, then held an emergency meeting with the supervisors, then held an emergency meeting with the associates to inform them this was legit.

This morning, I join the zoom meeting plenty ahead of the appointed time, but that time passed without the meeting starting. After a few minutes, finally get video after the announcement started (and I know it wasn't a me issue - a coworker reported the same thing). The only date information we got was "January". They gave the customers better info than us.

Interestingly, I've got a cruise scheduled for the last week of January. If I had a nickel for every time I've had a layoff coincide with a scheduled vacation, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

She works the overnight shifts, so yesterday when she told me she was told they were told not to come to work last night I found it really strange. Her supervisor thought maybe it was something to do with ocado., but basically no one knew for sure what was going on. Then the zoom meeting this morning, the whole thing didn't seem right but I just kept hoping I was wrong in my thinking. I'm so sorry for all of you losing this job.

Wow, they really handled that poorly.

In August 2025, Kroger laid off nearly 1,000 corporate employees this may be why the announcement that your fulfillment center is closing is so poorly organized. Nobody at the top of your vertical to lead.
