Is Knott's Berry Farm worth it?

Thank you everyone for the great responses. One Diser made a good point and said Knott's isn't the same park I remember at age 9. I'm 45 now. I just wanted to relive the memories. I'm not a roller coaster junkie anymore. It's too soon to know if my son will be one. The Snoopy area sounds fun. I'm not ruling out a visit there during my next trip to So. Ca, but might put it off until I attend Knott's Scary Farm in a few years.

Trying to read all the Knott's posts to determine if we should check it out so thought I would post to see if the OP made the visit last year! We live in FL about an hour + from WDW. We are DVC and AP so visit there a lot. Fortunate that we have been to DL and DCA many times as well and plan on going this March for Spring Break in conjunction with college visits for our oldest. Our kids enjoy the thrill rides but always love all that is Disney. Not sure if we should spend a day at Knotts or not. From what I gather, seems similar to a Busch Gardens? Thrill rides, maybe not the best upkeep of the park grounds, some fun rides. Would appreciate any thoughts. We most likely would go on a Sunday if that makes a difference. Thank you in advance!

From the first posting in this thread: "I'm in the planning phase for a summer 2026 trip." So 'fraid you'll have to wait quite a bit longer for that information.

Good catch! Sorry, since it was posted in December I think my mind read 2025!

My family’s tradition back in the 80’s was that we would do a half day at Knotts before our Disney days. It was the warm up park for us.

Once DCA came into being, (and I was the parent instead of the kid), Knott’s fell off the radar for us.

I finally returned to Knott's about 7 years ago and while a lot had changed, it was still pretty great and worth its place as a warm up park.

I agree with the other posters though that it’s thrill ride heavy so depending on if that is your thing or not will really judge the value of it.

Just did Knotts this week (Thanksgiving week). Got a good Season Passholder rate at the hotel by booking months in advance if you can do that. Hotel is very nice and super convenient for parking and a relaxing breakfast. At Knotts Farm the shows are cute, Camp Snoopy is well decorated for the holidays - as is the whole park but not wow, just cute. Lots of live entertainment and shows, food, even hot chocolate and hot spiced wine (low alcohol lol). Some of the shows - Ice Show, Main Stage Show, Christmas Carol (40 min and a bit intense for kids) were nice. Rides are understaffed so wait times were not good. If Disney is not in the budget, do Knotts, since an annual pass (with discounts for food) is about the same price or less than one day at Disney. But no, it's not Disney, and a bit smaller than California Adventure. Knotts opens at 10am most days, so you can sleep in and still rope drop lol.

While on "alternate" Disneyland Parks, if you have littles, hit ADVENTURE CITY (5 miles from Disneyland) in the morning (by afternoon it's too Filled with large low budget families), it's a super cute, clean, tiny park with such easy access compared to parking at Disney or Knotts! Starbucks and inexpensive fast food onsite. I'd say geared to 2 year old to 5 year old range but my older kids enjoyed it since I mostly let them run around on their own while (two together) while I took the 4 year old on everything. He is overwhelmed by Disney so this actually works great for him. Petting zoo, trains, and small size rides he loved.
