I had forgotten all about DISavers until today: click here to learn about DISavers.
Im hopeful that it still exists. The way I remember it working was that once someone joined DISavers and paid the yearly membership fee ($69.95), they could transfer over an existing WDW reservation and save approximately 10% of its cost (minus a $15 processing fee).
For example, if a reservation stated that the WDW vacation was going to cost $3,000, sometime after the completion of that vacation, the DISaver would receive a rebate check for approximately 10% of that cost, or in this example, $285 ($300 - $15 processing fee). Of course, the actual vacation savings would in effect be $215.05 ($285 - $69.95 membership fee). But if the DISaver took more than one vacation per year (as some folks are lucky enough to do), once that yearly membership fee was paid, the savings on those vacations would really begin to add up (a DISaver may use their membership for as many commission free vacations as theyd like during the term of their membership).
Has anyone used DISavers lately? I was a charter member but never got a chance to take advantage of its cost savings (my familys vacation plans that year changed due to outside forces). I have an upcoming vacation planned, and it would be nice to save a few dollars on it by joining DISavers.
