Is Johnney Depp going to be at Disney in July

Well we know he was at DL is he and all involved going to be at WDW??? We are the from July 2nd to the 15th and really want to know..

I believe he was at DL because of the new movie. not because of the ride.
I'm not sure, but I think the ride may open on the day the movie opens, so I would think he would be doing something much bigger than being at WDW on opening day. it's a nice thought, but I doubt it will happen.

BUT, then again, Brenden Fraizer (sp?) and Arnold Vosloo were at the opening of the Mummy coaster over at Universal so anything could happen.

I saw the pictures of him at DL and wondered if he'd also come to WDW. Wonder why only going to DL and not WDW? I also wondered if the ride was going to have a lot more changes at DL than WDW?

He's scheduled to be at a POC2 premiere in Paris July the 6th.....

Johnny Depp will attend the premiere of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST, which will take place on July 6th as part of the Paris Cinema Film Festival 2006. Johnny is scheduled to be joined at the premiere by co-stars Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom. DEAD MAN'S CHEST will screen at 7:45 pm at cinema Gaumont Champs-Elysees Marignan. At the preview, the mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoe, will present Johnny Depp with the Grande Medaille de vermeil de la ville de Paris, the highest honor the city of Paris bestows. The medal is presented as a reward to those who demonstrate devotion to Paris. Johnny's love of Paris is well-known; he and his partner, Vanessa Paradis, frequently reside there with their two children.


Then scheduled to be in Tokyo on July the 10th.

Great news for the many passionate Johnny Depp fans in Japan: Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are scheduled to visit Japan for the premiere of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST. Their arrival date is July 9th, and the actors will do a press conference and attend the movie's premiere in Tokyo on July 10th. Stories in the Japanese press report, perhaps optimistically, that Johnny will give a speech at the premiere; knowing his shyness near a podium, we bet the speech will be brief . . . but the pictures will be gorgeous.


When I read it, I just remember thinking..hmmmm..maybe he could fit the WDW opening in between those two!

If you think about typical U.S. movie premieres, they happen mostly in LA and/or NYC. Disney had an LA premiere, but held it at DLR instead of Hollywood... as mentioned by Metallicat, it was the movie and not the ride that brought them to DL. So unless they're planning a movie premiere at WDW (anyone know?) I doubt he'll be there. We can still dream though! (Been dreaming about Johnny Depp since I was a kid! LOL)

If I am not mistaken, he and Orlando Bloom were at WDW for the opening of the origianal POC movie. Wouldn't it be nice though? I wouldn't mind sharing a yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum with Captain Jack!

My husband is out of town on business but he knows when he gets back on 7/3 that he will be taking me to the movie. We hardly ever go to a theatre, what with Tivo and all. (love that Tivo!). But, when Johnny comes out with a new one, my husband just goes along. He's a good one. My husband is the most handsome man in the world, but Johnny is #2.

Well girls...my birthday is 7/7 and I think if JD is gonna be celebrating that day it should be with me! Seeing as how going to see POTC2 is my "party", he can have the seat next to me at the theater... , I'll even let him choose which row!

My DD is in Disney on the CP and one of her friends works at the GF. He was supposedly there about 2 weeks ago. Very low key thing.
