That I went to Target and they had the full Holiday section up and all I thought about was what I'm going to get once it goes on clearance. :rotfl:

;) Maybe I will actually get some stuff, I do love the bags they have.

Good luck! I had no luck with clearance there last year. They didn't have anywhere near as much holiday merchandise as usual, and by the time it was significantly clearanced, there wasn't much of anything left.

I swear this year there is even less Christmas stuff than last year. I went looking for some of those ornaments you put pictures in - in the past there has usually been a variety to choose from. Yesterday all I found one $4.99 option, and a few really small $3 ones.

Dollar Tree's selection this year is really pitiful too, compared to previous years.

Remember the good old days when Target would have big displays of their outdoor decorations? When DD was 2 and 3, we could spend hours there just watching the lit up reindeer move their heads back and forth and back and forth and back and forth....DD thought they were real, and was just FASCINATED by them. And I loved anything that kept her from having a temper tantrum for any significant amount of time :rotfl2:

Nope, not wrong at all. I've already scoped out the paper goods and health and beauty stuff :thumbsup2

I do the same thing. For Halloween and Christmas I make a mental note of all the things I'll try to get once it goes clearance. If there is something I need, then I'll get it now, but most of the stuff is just stuff I want. I figure if it's not still there when it goes clearance it just wasn't meant to be. :)

We are going to Disney in Dec 2013. Last year after Christmas I found all of the Disney stuff for 90% off at Kmart. There are 9 for us going. (adults only) I bought stocking large and small for all, plus window clings, small trees with ornaments, wall hangings and much more. I have been buying pins on ebay. So I'm going to have it set up with house keeping to put things in each rooms while we are gone so that every night when we get back there will be things for everyone. There are 4 couples going and then a close friend of ours. We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary, my sister and BIL 10th, our other friends 11th, my nieces engagement so it should be fun. I will also be hitting up the stores this year. I always check out the dollar store. Ours has a pack of 2 Disney stocking for $1. After my trip I plan on putting all of the decorations in a gift bag and handing them to family that is checking in. some of the stuff I got are goofy little things but I think they will be fun to hand of to kids coming into the resort.

I dunno, is it creepy that I did the same thing? :lmao: Unfortunately, I have to agree with the PP's, there's not as much stuff as I've seen in the past, which means there won't be as much leftover in the first place. I haven't even seen the big yardsticks full of gumballs that my kids love (maybe after Thanksgiving, I hope?) Anyway, I was surprised by how small the section was this year...

I do that at Target all of the time, not just with Christmas stuff. I am there at least once a week so I am always hoping to catch that 'gotta have' thing on clearance (which is usually something I don't 'gotta have', by the way...:rotfl2:)

And our Target doesn't have nearly as much Christmas stuff this year either. They remodeled this year and added groceries so they don't have the space. Doesn't really bother me though because sometimes it was just too much stuff.

me tooo!!!:woohoo: last year it was my first chirstmas out on my own so i got a tree and put it up with a few things my mother gave me, but didn't want to shell out the $$$ for everything knowing it would go on sale a few weeks later. well i went to target on my day off and it had hit 70% off. i got lots of stuff i wanted, the only thing i couldn't get were lights. i can't wait to see what i can get this year!:santa:

That's what I did after my first Christmas in my own place. Back when Target had just huge amounts of stuff. I bought stockings, ornaments, tree skirt, tree toppers, wreaths. I think I still might have some wrapping paper left from back then. All I remember is 90% off hit and I was just like *MUST BUY*:rotfl: Paying .25 cents for a roll of paper was awesome. Tags for like 10 cents. Every year people comment on how I must have spent so much on decking out my gifts with fancy tags, bows and paper.
