When people complain about vacations costing too much.
When people complain they never go anywhere interesting.
When people complain about DVC being a timeshare and has no real reasoning to back up their disliking it.
When people are skeptical of DVC, but change their minds after you invite them on a trip.
When people complain they could never spend 40+ years going to Disney World.

Add your list here.

When people say, "You spent HOW much to stay near an amusement park"?!?
When people say their Orlando condo cost much less and they are "right near" the maingate.

When people say they could not imagine spending (wasting) so much money on Disney World, but then proceed to visit 3 times in a row using cash.
When people complain about other tourist attractions being dirty and unkept.
When people complain they got ripped off buying useless junk at some unknown shop and can't return the merchandise.

My answer is no. We enjoy our membership in DVC. We enjoy the many things that are available to do at WDW. And for those that are not interested or "don't care to get it" then that just leaves more room for those of us who are.

I don't think I'd want to add to this list... I am on the verge of buying a DVC...however I also have a timeshare "right near the maingate" that I love. My plan is to use it when I've got more people than my piddling 150 points can handle, when I want to trade it for ski resorts...or when my trip is for Universal/Sea World and not WDW!

DVC is beneficial for some of the people some of the time...

When someone wonders why you would spend so much money for a "hotel room" when "all you do is sleep there at night"...a bed is a bed, right?
