Is it worth signing up for Emerald Aisle with 7 days to go?

I have a mini van reserved for 8 days (1/22- 1/30) for $178.00 including taxes. I am excited about the rate but wonder if I should, and even have time to sign up for Emerald Aisle before we leave.???

I'm sure I would have to transfer my reservation, which shouldn't be a problem...Any thoughts?? What upgrades might be on the lot considering I already have a mini van on reserve?

If you sign up for EA, make sure you use the link at mousesavers for free enrollment!
Sorry, but minivans don't qualify for "upgrades" you would reserve it under emerald reserve which means NO COUNTER just go to the lot, pick you van and vroooom off you go!!!
I would def. do it. You will get your EA # via email within a few minutes and be able to print a "paper membership card". Just call the emerald club and tell them to add your number to the ressie and ask them to change to Emerald Reserve BUT MAKE SURE to tell them you don't want your rate affected! In fact you could try making a new ressie online with your EA#, chose emerald reserve and see if the $ amount changes. If not cancel the old and keep the new one.
It is soooo great just being able to go to the lot, grab your car and go!!

I agree! We used the link on mousesavers and also signed up for free. Used the priceless vacations code and the $20 coupon from a link I got here on the boards under the "I need national codes" thread. I got an intermediate for $113 for 8 days, and we don't have to go to the counter!! If you give me your dates I will log in and check the rate to see if it makes a difference for you.

We need a minivan pick up on 1/22 and return on 1/30. I used the priceless code and the National coupon to get the $170.00 quote. Didn't think I could get a better rate just thought Emerald Aisle would get us out quicker and the kids could pick the color van...or something

$170 for 8 days is a great minivan rate. Join EA and call Nat'l and have them apply it to your rental and make it Emerald Reserve so you dont have to go to the counter.

My kids love to pick the cars!!! DH does too LOL!
