Is it Worth It?

Would you spend the extra money for a moderate vs a value when you are only going for 1 or 2 nights and spending the majority of your time in the parks or visiting other resorts?

Depends on how many/who in the group. For myself, no. For me and DH, no, since we can't sleep together in a double bed. For me and one other traveler, where we each get to sleep in our own (double) bed, yes, I would do a value, in order to save money to spend elsewhere.

We USUALLY do - atr POR primarily for the food court and the boat to DS - but will still stay at Music from time to time.

I would as well, one additional reason is in case you have not stayed at moderates in the past. This is a good way to see if it works for you and if you see the "value" in going moderate in the future for longer trips. Personally the room size, the pools, lounges, grounds, make it worth it for me. If you do POR, having a boat to DTD is a nice touch as well.

With the scenario you described, no I wouldn't pay more for the moderate. Unless, of course, you need the queen beds.

It depends on resort availability. I would choose POFQ or POR over the AllStars. But I would choose Pop over CBR Or CS. So sometimes I would choose a value and sometimes I might choose a moderate.

I would for the queen beds, because I don't do doubles, and I don't want to exist in a world where my kids are sharing a double with either each other, or with me.

Depends on size of group like others have stated. We usually stay at moderates but for a two night stay after a conference my DS and I stayed at All Star Musics. It was fine for us since we each got our own bed. The additional space in the room also seemed more cramped. But it was fine for the two of us as we were in the parks most of the time. However, if it was our entire family (2 teen boys and DH) - I would certainly pay more for a moderate to have the queen beds and just overall more space in the rooms.

It depends on the money, the group, and what you want!
I had only done deluxe until this summer. DD and I spent a week at Pop and absolutely loved it! But for us, double beds were fine (and very comfortable). I had a coffee maker (travel Black & Decker) and Amazon Prime Pantry boxes delivered.
I don't see a whole lot of difference between moderate and value. Both have exterior corridors. Bed size and coffee makers are the huge difference to me; I don't care if there is a TS restaurant.

just back from 4 nights at All Star Music our room was over 3 blocks away!! I didn't even want to go back during the day as I knew then I wouldn't want to leave it was very far and all of the moderates I have stayed had a preferred location well worth it!!

I would go value with what you are describing. I can't see paying extra if you won't spend any time at the resort except to sleep.
