Is It Worth It?

I am taking my DGC to IOA, Seaworld and WDW in the middle of July. We are DVC members so we will be staying on Disney property. I would like your opinions on the following question: is it worth paying the fee at Royal Pacfic Hotel for 1 night to access the express feature?

One night stay is $309.00:eek:

Also, the DGC ages are: 4 1/2 year old twins and a 6 1/2 year old... and BTW I am the only adult on this trip this time.:crazy2:

Because of the ages of the kids, I am going to say no. If they were teens, I would say yes.

In my opinion, there isn't a whole lot to do for kids that age at IOA. There are some pretty extreme rides there. There is a Dr. Suess area for little ones, but I really don't think the express feature applies to the rides in that section, and even if it does, I don't really remember seeing long lines there.

Again, my opinion, but I think for those ages, you are better off with an extra day in the Magic Kingdom.

Keep in mind, I am a big fan of IOA (see my avatar!), but my daughter wasn't ready to handle the rides there until she was 9 or 10.

YES YES YES!!! you get 2 whole days of express pass when you stay 1 night!!

If you have riders doing the headliners, then in the middle of July it is so worth it to have unlimited express, especially if said riders want to ride multiple times. But the kinds of rides and attractions you can do with small children probably won't have ridiculously long lines, especially if you go at park opening and do the most popular rides first.

OTOH, adding another Disney day is cheap in comparison if you're already going to be there for several days, whereas for Universal you need a whole different ticket. It may be better to wait until the kids are slightly older to get the most out of Universal.

Your DGC won't be able to ride most of the rides at IOA. We didn't go there til DD was old enough to ride the rides. I would save my $$ and give it a miss. Maybe do Bippidiboo (or whatever it is called) instead.

That is a terrific idea!
