So now we've discovered the bonus tickets, and 6 day park hoppers costs as much as a 4 day. That's really cool cuz we are trying to save money. If we buy a Deluxe AP we'd probably get like 2 more days at the parks. So it would about $75 more we'd have to pay. I need opinions! Is it worth it to pay $75 more for two more days? We probably won't be able to squeeze in another trip till after it expires though. :confused3 Our next trip most prob would be in June 2010 ( we live far away in puerto rico)

We have 16 days in California and suddenly 6 days at DLR don't seem enough. We are also doing 3 days at Universal (buying their annual pass), and 1 day at knott's. Is it too much, 8 days at DLR? Thanks!:goodvibes

64 days!:banana::banana:

My opinion is yes, you won't need that much time there. It is not like WDW.

You could do lots of other things on those days - Seaworld, San Diego old town, San Diego zoo and wild animal park...

You definately won't need 3 days at USH. We love DLR but 6 days is max. I would hit the beaches, and tour San Diego along with wild animal park, the zoo and sea world. Yosimite if you have time is wonderful.

I agree with blackjackdelta, you won't need 3 days at USH. I like going there but one day should be plenty, 2 days maybe but 3 might be too much. San Diego is a great idea if you're looking for somewhere else to go. We love the zoo and Sea World, among other things.

Check out the So. Cal City Pass ($227 at Costco). We bought that for our upcoming trip and it's a great deal. There have been a few threads here telling how you can upgrade the 3 day Disney Hopper to an AP.

one of my kids live in San Diego, we go a lot and love it! Old town is fun lots of shops and tours of historic buildings. Not to mention music and food. Gaslamp quarter in San Diego is a blast too. The miles of beaches, seaworld great outdoor mall on the beach, street fair in ocean beach very quirky and fun! :cool1:
We do DL for 6 days, universal one and knotts one (last time 2 years ago)
I do end up missing DL when I go to other spots and always think I could be at DL!:lovestruc

I guess you could look at it from another perspective . . . if you are planning on eating in the parks a lot you could try and figure out how much you could save with an ap discount. For me personally I think I would stick with the 6 days unless you think the discount on food would be worth it. That $75 comes out to $37.50 a day. I don't know what else you are planning on the other days but it would be great to have days in between to just break things up a bit so it's not a constant go, go, go thing. I think I would want to use that money for something else.

My family of 4 just spent 7 days in the parks. We were tired when all was said and done. Could I have done another day. You bet. I would not have shortened it for anything! It really allowed us the opportunity to slow down, drive the DLH boats, watch the shows, etc.

We are first time AP folks, so I kept track of the savings, and for my family, and we usually have one kid meal, and two adult meals, mostly with anaheim water to drink(free), and frequent snacks, we saved at least $20 per day on food with the AP discount.

So, if you figure that into your equation, you are pretty even in terms of additional expense.

Really the expense is so minimal, that I would go for it, just so you have that option.
