Is it worth it? PHOTOPASS!!!

We pre ordered on our last trip to the World and loved it. I would never not do it again. We always purchased the entrance pics at each park. Plus a few character ones as well. So the way I was looking at it we would be breaking even. Well we got way more then I had expected. The key is to let the photopass photographer know that your card is prepaid. They treat you so differently and get very creative. This last trip we had at least 3-4 different poses at the entrances alone. We took new ones every day we went back. And we got to keep them all not pick and choose the best one. (I'm so not good at that, I want them all) the best part was the incredible interaction photos with the characters. The photographer would just start snapping tons of pictures. Not just the typical posed pictures. In the MK one of our photographers got pictures of us with The Mayor and ladies (sorry don't remember their names), and the vendor holding the bunch of balloons. DHS the movie crew performers were in our photos. And that photographer also had us each pose under the sorcerer's hat as if we were wearing it. We had well over 800 pictures on our cd when we returned home. The only down side I saw was that most photos from the character meals were sold separately and not included on the photopass.
Another good advantage is you can apply several passes onto you master pass. So, if you are with a large group or if you decided you to split up during the day you can still all have pictures taken.
We will never go without the photopass again.

We love photopass. We give the photographers our camera as well, but I like having all the option of not having to take out our SLR everytime we see a photopass photographer. The preorder $99 is worth it. If they got rid of the preorder, I would have to think about it though.

this is the big draw for me! I love the fact that we can have camera-less days (we also have a SLR camera, so a bit bulky) and still have plenty of memories to look at when we get home.

My brother's family is going early June and we are going late June, do you know if we can share a photopass?

My best educated guess is YES! You have 30 days from the time the first picture is taken to claim it and then 30 days from that point to order a CD.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!

We love Photopass and get one each year. I do carry around my DSLR but it's nice to have a backup and the entire family in the picture. All you do is tell the photographer that you prebought the CD and they will take a ton of pictures. Just at the Mickey/Minnie Meet and Greet last week, the photographer told me she took 18 pictures.
