I feel like its more for older kids. I want them to enjoy themselves and not hear them say, Im bored....they love MK. thanks

I was going to say if they like MK they will love Universal, particularly Islands of Adventure, go for it.

THe last time we went our girls were 4 & 6. We found enough to keep them occupied for probably two days of the trip and this was in the winter (ie. cool weather). One thing I distinctly recall was that at IOA almost everything gets you wet. Needless to say we had sniffles and sore throats before we returned home. I remember favorites were the Curious George play area, the Animal Planet show, ET (younger one was afraid of the dark pre show que though), all of Seuss land, Spiderman, Men in Black and the Hanna Barbera show (it's now Jimmy Neutron). There is also the Barney area too. Is there any way that you could do a split stay between US and also throw in a day or two at Magic Kingdom?

Actually there's only 3 water rides at IOA, Jurassic Park Boat Ride, Ripsaw Falls and the Barges. Everything else is water free.

aztecgoods....Actually all the kids play areas have water features.

my DD has loved US/IOA since she was 3. there is plenty at USO to keep little ones entertained. I think the problem with the parents who compalin is they don't feel they are getting their bang for the buck when they end up spending a lot of their time with Barney, Fiviel etc.

Oh yes, we are definitly are going to MK, and now I think we'll do 2 days of US and IOA.....thanks everyone..despina

A word of advice despina, if you can afford it, by all means stay onsite! At those ages everyone tires easily (even parents :) ) and it is so great to be able to just scoot back to the resort for a break, then go back to the parks later whe neveryone is refreshed. I recommend all of the MK resorts due to the monorail (it keeps everyone entertained) but the Wilderness Lodge is also a great property. We stayed at what is now the Doubletree across from the main entrance to Universal and I wish that we had stayed onsite. We tended to wear ourselves out sinces we had to leave the park to return to the hotel for a break and that made for super tired kids and adults.

Keep your children away from the Woody WoodPecker ride.. We took my sort of step-sister once (3/4) and she went on it 27 times before she threw up. She loved it Lmao
