I didn't want to hijack the other vertigo thread but we have a weird situation going on here. I was out of town visiting my mother. My DH called me yesterday to report that he had some "dizziness" and nausea during the night...and, "oh by the way, my arms were numb and my left shoulder was hurting."
OMG~ If I had been home I would have definitely called 911. He went to see the pulmonologist in the morning, I guess because he was having some difficulty breathing too(he has lung and heart disease.) They found out that his oxygen saturation was down in the 80s, so now he's on oxygen, and his BP was 80/40--but no diagnosis. For some reason they didn't do an EKG.
So I sent him to his family doctor today. The EKG is normal and today the BP is 150/100--I've never seen it that high in the last 29yrs we've been married. Still no diagnosis. Family doc referred to the cardiologist--who can't see him for another month.
So they're treating him for vertigo(with antivert and oxygen?) We're so frustrated. In the meantime DH is really sick of the "swaying."
Ya'll have any ideas??

But this thing with the numbness in the arms and the shoulder pain--I've never heard of that in conjunction with vertigo. Let alone a sudden need for oxygen...Erg. Well, if things start up again we'll be going to the ER, I guess.
