that you can use dining plan snack credits for the Food & Wine festival items? Where can I find a list of these?

They have allowed it in the past, but have never officially announced it. We really don't find out for 100% certain until the first reports come back from people at the event.

I hope they continue this. We would love to do a taste test with snack credits. I can't wait to hear back from those going before me.
Thanks.

When I called them last week to make some adjustments to a reservation, the CM told me I could use DDP snack credits at the Food & Wine. I didn't pursue it, so I don't have a list – just tucked away the information.

they have not allowed it before so it would br great if they do - will be there this year

Yes they have.

In the last few years they have allowed to use of snack credits for food products from the booths.

There is a link to the kiosk menus on the first post of the Food and Wine Festival thread on the main restaurant board.

It's been allowed every year since 2006 (in 2008 it started being ALL food items, not just the ones that cost less than $4) although we do not have absolute confirmation from 2010 yet (I don't consider anything an agent from WDW-DINE says to be absolute confirmation).

I just peed my pants.
I think we're going to have to do the QSP to double up on snacks. Holy guacamole (and fisherman's pie)!!

TDCNala is right. Last year I was on the DxDDP, so had two snacks/day. I didn't use a snack on anything that was less than $4.00. Up until last year about the only thing that was over $4.00 was the lobster roll, but last year they had LOTS of items over $4.00. I tried one of each and used a snack credit for every one of them, (then paid cash for the cheaper items--anything less than $4.00). Nothing was refused. They were a great use of snack credits as some were around $7.00. We plan on doing the same thing in less than three weeks hopefully.:cool1:

Not true! We've used snack credits down there for the Food & Wine Festival items for the last several years. You just can't use them for alcohol.

Is $4 a good "value" for a snack credit? My hubby thinks I am crazy that I won't let him use a snack credit on a bottle of water, but I don't think it is a good use of the credit. We haven't been in a few years and I know things have changed, but it would help to have an idea ahead of time so I can prepare him for the "It's not worthy" situation that is sure to arise.

Well, most snacks are $4 or under. You can always get free tap water from CS locations if you dony want to use a snack credit for water!

I learned about using snack credits for festival fare AFTER we were there last year. I was crestfallen because the food looked so good and we ate very little of it. And then we finished the week with extra credits. :(

As long as you know for sure you will use all your snack credits.

The problem I've seen is people pay OOP for snacks they do not think are worthy and then they have snack credits left at the end.

This is less likely at the F&W, but just try to keep it in mind.

Good Point! I know last time we ended up with a couple of snack credits at the end of our trip. We used them on our way out of the park on our last day to get some Mickey Mouse shaped Rice Krispy treats to bring back with us.
