I saw that your DH had a Shipyard Tshirt in one of your photos. Believe it or not in all our trips in the past 20 years I have only been to Portland and BoothBay otherwise we just go into North Conway or stay at the house in Maine. Everything else just seems too far away:rotfl:

We had a great time in Portland, and loved :lovestruc the brewery. The people there were great! We made an entire pub crawl out of the last day we were there and loved it...

Nice trips... We all share, thanks for sharing yours....

My DH wants to take our family to the Outer Banks also, but we never seems to find the time to do it.

Do you have a rental company that you like to use?

We have used www.corollaclassicvacations.com for a number of years and have had no problems. We have used bigger ones in the past but my in-laws like these people a lot. Let me know if you have any other questions!!

RachelTori- thanks for the shout-out to the Cards!! We are very excited they won!!! We are leaving in about an hour to head down for the parade!!!

No, she didn't have to be hospitalized, but that's part of my crash course in nursing. I guess our Dr. is becoming more overworked because she usually catches things more quickly, we talked daily after the initial visit and she asked me about the wound, but from what she told me (and my optimism) I probably let her to believe it was getting better, Fran didn't speak up that the pain was getting worse until it was unbearable which was when we did the scan and in house appointment. By the point we saw the Dr. and she knew it was worse, she was concerned the infection had gone into the bone. It had not, so we were OK.

I'm just looking forward to our trips to SSR, VGC, AKV and BLT and hoping that she is all better for each of those trips. I did her evening fluids OK, it went a little faster than it was supposed to, but hopefully they have a margin of error for idiots like me!

So glad things are getting under control. Shame on Fran for letting the pain get so bad though! I'm a nurse, being in pain is not good for healing.

Wow you guys have a lot of trips planned!! I will list some of our if that is ok

November 2011- Dream Thanksgiving cruise.
Dec 2011- Christmas- St. Croix
March 2012- Spring Break- 1st RCCL cruise
Jun 2012 WDW -AKL CL
July 2012 Outer Banks, NC with in laws:scared1:
Dec 2012 Aulani ( we have a deposit on it but we may change it to a Christmas cruise on the Fantasy)

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Excellent plans! Of course, I love to hear about everyone's vacation plans! and you have two very close trips, I'm sure you're very excited!

We had a fantasti time on all of our cruises. Not only is the 8th cruise booked, but I am plotting number 9 at the moment.

Inbetween cleaning the house I've gotten started on your adventures, and I see you have Hawaii coming up, that cruise sold like hotcakes! I think it was sold out in less than a week. Cabins are available again since they added the October one, but I was shocked how fast they sold.

Corina,

I will coordinate with you most defiantly before we start planning...

Would love to meet up with while we are there...

I will definitely be around in December 2012. We also have a pretty good Christmas market from late in November until shortly before Christmas.

Various people that work for DCL told me that the cruise sold out in 6 hours. Some cabins opened up again once the deposits were due and then a few opened up when the October cruise was announced.

On my phone so it's hard to type but I wanted to say how happy I am that Fran is doing better. So sorry I won't see you this week at WDW!

Thanks! Maybe next time!

Alison - I am glad that Fran is doing better. Bob and I have often discussed how fortunate that I am intelligent enough to know what is going on and able to learn how to care for him. :rotfl: Seriously, I know how hard you have been working these past few weeks.

I'm sure you understand, and I'm glad that you did such a good job taking care of Bob, I'm sure he appreciates it too! :goodvibes (The intelligence, it's moosic, makes yer smartyer! :thumbsup2 )

Glad they figured out it was cellulitis and she is getting better!!!!It is a little scary!! My DS14 got peri-orbital cellulitis when he was 9 months old. The infection was in his eyelid and eyeball already!!! They said it could spread to his brain!! He was in the hospital for 6 days on iv antibiotics!!! They said would be in 10 days but he responded well to the meds.

I'm so glad he got better, from what I'm understanding it is a pretty serious infection.

I continue to keep the two of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Corinna

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

:cool1: We survived the Nor'Easter. Living near the bay has its advantages as we hardly got much snow just rain but my family a little more north received upto 8 inches of that wet heavy snow.

Glad to hear she is doing better.:goodvibes I had celloulitis once by getting my legs waxxed:scared1: It was before our trip to Disney in 2006 and I had to take all my medicine down with me. Not fun especially in the heat.

I can't believe the Nor'Easter came this early! Glad you didn't get too much snow, I heard Massachusetts got 22 inches on the news this morning! :scared1:

Sorry you had to do the parks with that going on. :sad1: I'm glad that I didn't push her to go.

Glad to hear that she is doing better! And yes, I do believe they allow for the margin of error! I remember giving shots to my son and taking out his line one time and he shot half of the heparin across the room!

 Well it's good to know that. I hope I'm not messing anything up!

Alison - happy to hear that Fran is doing better. I know you are busy caring for her, but make sure you take care of yourself too.

Thanks, after the infusion this morning, I put my recliner back and took a good long nap until after 12 noon. I feel a whole lot better! :)

So glad things are getting under control. Shame on Fran for letting the pain get so bad though! I'm a nurse, being in pain is not good for healing.

She is always in pain with the RA, but she is taking A LOT of morphine right now. Hopefully the pain from the cellulitis will go down as the infection healed.

Thanks everyone for your concern! I need some distractions.... Time to plan that December trip!

Glad you got a good long nap! Looking forward to reading all about your plans...

Good evening Lodgers...I converted my reservation to a CM's Friends and Family Rate tonight and got the dining plan..I can't wait!!! 40 days!

Exactly, but I am getting tired of saying it every year......:confused3

We had a good run for a number of years. :cheer2:

I guess we could say they've been in 'rebuild mode' the past several years :confused3 cuz I don't want to say they fold under pressure -- although that's kinda what happens. :headache:

We have been going to the Outer Banks for 17 yrs!! My in-laws live in Delaware and have been going forever. They rent a nice house and we all meet there. it's a hike for us. We fly STL to Norfolk, rent a car and drive the last 2 1/2 hrs. We have lots of fun though!!

This year we are going July 22-29. We like a Sunday to Sunday rental. We find the traffic is not quite as bad as on Sat. We stay in the Corolla area in Buck Island. We really like it a lot!! It is pretty quite, nice beach and shops and restaurants close enough we can walk to them!!!

If you have any other questions just let me know!!

I was going to say that you could ask me if you had any questions! :rotfl: We have been going to the OBX for over 25 years! We usually stay down between Kill Devil Hills/Kitty Hawk/Nags Head. It keeps us close to the spots that we have come to frequent over the years.

Brandi - We have a few companies we use: Village Realty, Atlantic Realty and Seaside Realty are three we keep coming back to.

We're renting points next trip & the member we're renting from confirmed our reservation today! :woohoo: So excited. Makes it all seem more real you know??

I have been a Braves fan for as long as I can remember, before I understood the game. :rotfl2:

All the ups and downs make me love them even more. :lovestruc

I am sure I will have more questions when we get closer. Thanks for the names, I will start looking into it.

So glad you were able to get some downtime. I like that someone else posted to remember to take care of yourself :)

RA is a nasty disease, my step-mom also has RA. I'm sure Fran has a high pain tolerance level. Now that she's getting the IV antibiotics I hope it clears up quickly. :)

Oooohh, planning is an excellent distraction! Any more thoughts on ADRs? Will you guys be doing the MVMCP? We're going to skip it since it will be our first time in Christmas so we have a lot of other stuff to see, but a lot of people say it's great fun. And apparently the Candlelight Processional is a must do. Neil Patrick Harris is going to be there, I'm so excited to see him!

Dates, we need dates! :) Congratulations on the trip!

Morning everyone :surfweb:

I have read about the community centers at other DVC resorts, and I wanted to see what everyone thought of the one at Kidani?
