Is it true that "parade viewing" is now a Fastpass+ option?

We did FP+ for the main street electrical parade. They had roped off an area of the hub on the statue side of the street on the right half around to near the castle (if that makes sense). :

For the fireworks the area is in the rose garden. For the parade it is in the hub right in front of the castle.

Hmm, I may need to rethink this. The Electrical Parade is DDs favorite. I was hoping to FP it, to get a front of the line viewing area, so she could interact with the characters....without having to stake out a spot 2 hours ahead of time, like we did last time. But if I FP, its still possible that she will be 2 or 3 rows deep, and not able to see?

I can't speak to the FP+ for the parade.
But, I've never had to stake out a spot 2 hours ahead of time for MSEP, even at busy times.
We walk towards Liberty Square/ Frontierland and have always found front row spots. (45min. to an hour ahead during busy times such as Pres. Week, 30-45 min. on a not so busy day.)
Main Street spots can fill up fast. But, IMO, the parade looks the same no matter where you are sitting. :goodvibes

We got there almost 2 hours early and were still 2 deep on our day....but we were on Main Street. Looks like we need to try Liberty Square this time. Thanks :)

Definitely!
I seem to have luck right around Liberty Tree Tavern, but I know a lot of folks on these boards have luck in Frontierland. Perhaps one of them will chime in with some more info./ their experience.

Another option, if your DD can stay up that late, is to go to the 2nd parade. People leave in droves after Wishes and it's a cinch finding a spot, even on Main Street.

We got them for MSEP in November, I would definitely do it again.
Everyone who had a FP had a front row spot on the curb. They also didn't open the area to non-FP holders, so we never felt crowded.

It is true, but you will probably not see it listed until closer to the relevant date.

I wonder if they will have separate FP's for urinals vs. stalls and will they install single rider entrance?

"Hurry up and finish your dessert, kids. And down those drinks! We have fast passes for the potties in ten minutes and you're going to have to make good use of them because we aren't waiting in any stinkin lines. Drink. Drink!"

:rotfl::rotfl: Very funny, thanks for the laugh!

-Fantasmic in it's current state a waste. When we used it, was reserved in center of theater.
-Illuminations was the worse waste for us, area too small and even though there an hour in advance we were several rows back and couldn't see.
-Wishes we enjoyed sitting uncrowded in the Rose Garden but you are not direct on the Castle so the big fireworks are to the right. We go often so not a problem. I sat on the bridge to Tomorrowland a couple weeks ago for "free" and had the same exact view.
- MK Daytime parade we arrived early to guarantee front row and I liked taking pics with the castle behind the floats. Do it again, probably not because I can get front row anywhere on route.
- MSEP there was a long line to get in and front row was gone quickly. Since I knew we would stay put for fireworks and had seen parade many times ... that was not an issue for us. I picked spot up against wall so we would not be pushed before Wishes. After parade the ropes are gone and the crowds push in for Wishes. Not optimum view since so close to castle but we enjoyed it. I would consider doing it again but it may not be best use of a FP+.
