Is it too late for FP+ booking?

We are going 5/26-5/30 and get the military tickets, but I'm just now able to the base office to purchase them. We aren't going to ride big thrill rides (space mountain, tower of terror, etc) because we have kids 5 and 3. Do we still have a decent chance of getting FP+ for things like Peter Pan and Toy Story Mania?

We just returned from Easter Week at WDW. I did not schedule any FPs until a the week before our trip. (I just refuse to "pick my park" two months before I travel. Absurd.) At that time, I was able to get everything our family wanted - except for Toy Story Mania. But I never tried to change the day for that one - it may have been available at that time if I'd done that. AND, on the morning of our day at Hollywood Studios, while we were standing in line to go into the park, I tried to change one of our FPs to TSM and it was available. Clearly I think they hold back some FPs for the day of.

You should have no problem getting the rides you want at this point. Good luck!
