We are going the beginnng of December....Will it be too cold to do the water rides while we are there?? I love Popeyes and Dudley do right, but I know we will get soaked!! I don't want to freeze while we are there!!

Not too cold unless a front comes thru, winter is January and February.

A couple years ago it was 80 degrees down here in South Florida on New Years day and I was waxing my car while a snow storm was up north.

February is a great time to visit, because all the rides work, place is a ghost town. Temps in February are 50-75. In the morning you wear a light jacket. In the afternoon it's like walking around in a building, cool temps. Here's the averages page. Same thing can be said about December, just that the last two weeks are super packed because of the holidays.

I tell people to visit in February all the time, it's one of the biggest secrets out there. So what if the parks close at 6pm. The onsite pools are heated, and it warms up in the day time.

I'm concerned about the same thing. We're going late December, and I'd hate to miss out on the water rides due to cold. I'm hoping someone posts that it's usually not too cold, that we won't freeze after Popeye's!

Thanks Op. For asking this question. :goodvibes
Thank you much Robvia. For posting the temps. I can go on the water rides in Oct. Wooohoo!!

The weather can be just about anything in early December. I was there the last week of November and the first week of December last year and it was warm out most of the time. At first it was very nice out I was in shorts and was more then happy to ride any water ride at the parks. Then about two days before I left it got chilly out. The day before I left it was cold all day I had a jacket, long sleeve shirt, and jeans on and I was still cold.

In December it could be in the 80's or it could be 40's. The only way to know is start watching the weather reports in the days before you leave. Even then take clothing for almost any kind of weather.

If we could predict the weather here in florida, we'd all be rich. Last year, it snowed in Orlando. The next day it was 75 degrees. You also have to remember that what we consider cold and what you consider cold are two different things. I bundle up when it gets really cold, 65 degrees. When it gets positively freezing, 50 degrees, I break out the heavy jackets.
Typical weather is about 55-75 degrees with a steady breeze. I wouldnt hit the rides first thing in the morning, but wait until at least 1 on those days.
