Is it strange for 2 grown adults

Not strange! I went to the old Liberty Tree Tavern character dinner with my DH and loved it. It was a highlight of our stay, and I have fabulous photos.

That's all part of the magic of WDW... you get to be a kid again. Even though we're over 40, my hubby and I did character greets and ate at places like O'hana and Cinderella's table without shame. The characters were just wonderful and hugged us as if we were long-time friends. Have fun!!

Congrats!
It's not at all wierd. I love the character meals and always schedule Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys and Cinderella's Royal Table into the master plan for EVERY trip! :o))

Not weird at all! Everything Disney is for all ages! :mickeyjum

My BF and I are both in our mid-20's, and we have 2 character meal reservations for our upcoming trip. This is actually my first time going, so I've decided to just throw any embarrassment out the window (I'm never going to see any of these people again anyway!) and just do all the things I've dreamed of doing there my entire life. I've already told my BF that the first thing we are buying is an autograph book so I don't miss any character opportunities.

Have fun, and happy anniversary! :smickey:

No way! My hubby and I are celebrating our one year anniversary at WDW at the end of this month and we're enjoying dinner at CRT, just the two of us. =)

We're a childless 50+ couple and have done CP and Liberty Tree Tavern.
Your $ is as good as any. People don't even notice...they're busy enjoying themselves...I wouldn't see this as a problem at all ;)

Nope, not strange at all!!!!!! My husband and I have eaten the character breakfast at Ohana for the past 2 years and love it!!! I'm in my late 20's, he's in his early 30's.

I'm a big tattooed 39 year old guy.. I make sure to have breakfast there everytime I go. It's just not a vacation unless I get my picture taken with Pooh and Eeyore.

I didn't find it strange when I did it. Or when as grown adults we ate at CRT either.

Winnie the Pooh didn't find it strange either. What he did find strange was how I wasn't going to get up and get a picture with him (I had seen him already that trip even) and he moved my stuff and sat down next to me so I would get one anyway!!!

This was one of my favorite pictures from the trip.

No way is it strange! We always try to get ressies for Crystal Palace and when we go to Disneyland, we are at most of the character meals. We are two grown-ups (?) in our 50's adults/kids who absolutely adore the characters and love, love, love Disney. The characters help make the magic and will defintiely make magic for your anniversary. Have fun!!

Of course that's not strange! Disney is all about being a carefree kid again- embrace it! On my solo trip in October, I even went to MNSSHP and trick-or-treated alone (I'm 26). No shame in taking advantage of all the magic Disney has to offer!

Going to have to agree with the group here. Not strange at all. I think it would be strange if you didn't eat there;).

Part of the reason we love Disney so much is because it allows all of us to feel young again. Remember: Age is just a number and no where does that number mean less then in WDW.

Go to Crystal Palace and enjoy. Have a happy 20th Wedding Anniversary

Heck no it is not strange,go and enjoy and have a great time. I hope my wife and I will be able to do the same when and if we ever get our five kids out the door. LOL

My sister and I have been to Disney many times together. They have been the best trips ever! We always breakfast once at the Crystal Palace and love the pictures we have of each other with the characters. We both look happy and even better - younger. I say go for it. Have a great time on your trip.

All of our trips together have just been 2 adults and no kids and we've dined at plenty of Character meals and will continue to do so. Everyone is a kid when they go to Disney!!!

I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy a character meal at my age without kids, but I had a blast at the Crystal Palace last year.

Crystal Palace is fantastic, kids or not! My wife and I ate there and were eager to get just as many photos with Pooh and the gang as the kids were. Plus, I thought the food was quite good! Just be ready for some boisterous marching about :)

We went to the dinner with Pooh and friends ... we were a little dissapointed as the food was not as good as my last visit in Aug . I have to say we did have a good time taking photos though .. The service , food and people were not as good as my last visit though ! We were there on a MLK weekend and the park was crowded but not as crowded as a summer night and still the summer seemed better ... maybe it was just an of night !

I think we are all kids when we get to disney. My husband and i get on line to have our pictures taken with any character we can find. Go enjoy yourself. And post some pictures when you get home.

People made fun of my hubby and I cause we have pictures with about 20 characters from our 1st trip last year....I told them that Disney World is a fairy tale land and there is no need to be grown up ;)
