I need to bank points by the end of July. I have previously called to do this, but by banking by e-mail, I would have my written copy. Does DVC send an e-mail confirmation?

I have banked via email a couple of times now, and each time I have done so, I have received a reply with the banking confirmation number.

I haven't had any problems with banking via email, and it's nice to have that option as it's not something I imagine most members *need* to call MS for. Since I know I'm going to bank far before the deadlines, I just drop them an email and it's done within a couple of days. No need to tie up people on the phone when they could be helping with reservations or making PSes for other members. :)

Mur!

If you bank by phone, you do not receive any written confirmation. They verbally give you the banking number and it's your responsibility to write it down and keep track of it.

An advantage to banking by e-mail is that you will get an e-mail confirmation back with the banking number on it.

If I ever again have to bank points, I will definitely do it by email.

The last time I did this (probably at least five years ago, LOL!), somehow it didn't get done. I was in danger of losing them. But since I had done it via email, they looked up the email record and took care of everything for me!

Besides banking by e-mail, it's also simple to make reservations by e-mail.

While speaking with a CM is nice, it's not necessary. I've made several reservations via e-mail. This works best when reserving fairly in advance for a time when there are plenty of vacancies.

Never banked by e-mail, but made ressies by e-mail. Also confirmed my number of points with them via e-mail, at time of ressie, so write everything you want in the e-mail and end with "Can you please confirm?" and they should e-mail you back in complete sentences letting you know "Yes, you have 75 points banked into your 2004 use year" or whatever you have.

I'm pretty sure I'll start banking that way this year too.

never thought of banking by email until this was pointed out. thanks for the good suggestion
