Is it really true that Le Cellier serves their bread with MARGARINE?

Tasted like butter to me. And it was really cute... shaped like Spaceship Earth.
Is that what it's supposed to be? I thought it was a golf ball!

YES... I took a picture of the butter.

Many years ago, we ate at LTT, and the butter was shaped like Mickey (this was before everything was shaped like Mickey!) I got so excited that I took a picture of it! My then newlywed husband started to wonder what he had gotten himself into! (After all these years, I'm not sure he ever stopped! )

When I first went to WDW ('78) we ate at King Stephan's Banquet where they had heavy metal water goblets and plates, and tabs of butter that were square but had the Mickey head/world stamp on them. I begged my mother to let me bring some home.

I believe at one time every restaurant at WDW had their own specialty butter and bread.

As hard as it may be to believe, I took the picture well before Al Gore invented the internet, before Steve Jobs started Apple, before Bill Gates realized that there was a demand for the personal computer. When you still took a picture using film, paid for it to be developed, and saw it for the first time when you picked them up (usually from the drugstore). So while I would love to post this picture, it's not digital and not available for posting.

Oh, and PS - my then newlywed husband is still my husband. Something else that nowadays may be hard to believe!

FWIW, Le Cellier serves unsalted butter.

Just came back. Unsalted just like almost every other TS. Yuck!! Tried to salt it myself. Doesn't work!

This is a Wisconsin statute!

Don't think FL has the same.... still highly doubt that LC hands out margerine for their gourmet breads...

At Lecellier we got the filet, but subbed mashed for risotto. Great! Cheese soup. Great. Poutine, fries with cheese and gravy. Yum. The strip was Ok but filet was better. The mac n cheese was very garlicky. We really like this place.

They serve Poutine?? I love good poutine! Was it made with shredded cheese, or cheese curds? Not that it really matters, both can be good. This is the first restaurant in Florida that I've found that makes poutine.

I think it was cheese curd. It was melted not shredded.
It is not on the allears menu page but it is (or was last March) on the menu when you get to the restaurant. I just got back but couldn't get Lecellier. Wish I had checked the menu for you!

wow...that has not been our experience with the butter at the restaurants(don't remember Le Cellier's butter in particular because we wouldn't have been buttering the bread sticks anyway.) But we've been to 39 different Disney table service restaurants in the past 3 years and the butter either had exotic salt on it (red, black, grey...all the course chunky kind, and they usually announced it was from places like hawaii, North Sea, Mediterranean Sea, etc. or the butter was specifically seasoned like the macadamia nut butter at Kona Cafe.

Key words exotic salt on it. Coral reef has some red chunky salt on the butter. The Wave also. Chefs was unsalted. Tutto and Via Napoli both serve oil so I don't know about their butter. The macadamia butter at Kona is awesome. We have a restaurant in our town that has unsalted butter and I don't like it. Maybe I am just too picky!
I haven't been to the signatures except AP because of my pickyness. So I can't comment on them. I wish I could remember each restaurant I have eaten in and keep count. I can't even count how many times I have been to WDW. Must be getting old!!

Oooooh I hope they have poutine when we get there next month! I have a lunch ADR there and I have always wanted to try this dish!!!

I think it is listed as a side not an app but I am not sure. Hopefully they still have it when you get there.
