Is it realistic to hope for codes/AP discounts for AKL in Peak Season?

Planning a trip in April, 2003, which turns out to be in peak season. Has anyone ever noticed substantial discounts during this time? Would like a savannah room for my daughter who loves animals, but really can't afford the Disney Club price. She wants a balcony room overlooking the savannah! HELP!

We were offered an AP discount of under $200/n for a deluxe Savannah view at AKL over Christmas and that was making reservation last week. I would think there would be some good rates available, especially if you are looking this far ahead.

Well, given that we're only paying $176/nt. for savannah view over Christmas (it's a code rate), I'd say anything is possible. I think Disney is offering discounts during times of the year when they typically haven't in the past, so never say never!

I too, have always wondered about this. We are going the 2nd week of March. I know that this is peak season but I really don't understand why. There has to be more people able to go during Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are often codes out for these times but I have never seen a code out for early March. Even though we have Spring Break during this time, alot of places don't and it is nowhere near Easter this year! So, let's keep our fingers crossed and maybe new codes will come out!

I'm also interested in going during peak season, but won't be making any reservations unless some discounts come out. I'm not sure if we'll see them or not, we went mid-March 2001 and weren't able to get a discount.

Last year we stayed at the BC in March. There were no AP discounts - all we could get was AAA. That's why we split between BC and HIFS.
